Review of Vivekananda College for Women.
Placements: The university has a very substantial placement cell that conducts all the placement-related activities. Training and guidance are also provided to the students, like career counseling, career planning etc. 378 students were placed from PG 2-year program in 2020. Various companies come here from placements, like CSC, WBSSC etc.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good, and the food quality in our college areas is very good. A mess is available in our college area. Laboratories are good. We can take books from the library. Many old books which are not available in the market are also present in our library.
Faculty: Our teachers are very well-educated. They teach us in a friendly way. They solve our doubts also. Our examinations are conducted by Vidyasagar University. We all work hard for exams. Many of my friends and I got 55%+. Whenever we couldn't solve any questions or we had problems, teachers helped us.
Other: Many scholarships are available in our college. Many government and private scholarships are available for us. Many events are organized by our college. We participate in many events. I must suggest taking admission in our college.

Absolutely satisfied with everything they provided, including good placements and opportunities.
Placements: All students were above average in honesty. Professors helped and guided every student in every situation. The entire batch got internships at Jadavpur University. The top roles offered were in debate competitions, poster making, and essay writing.
Infrastructure: We had very comfortable classrooms with enough space to seat more than 40 students. In my batch, we were 35 students, even after everyone sat comfortably. There was plenty of space left to sit 20 more. We also had a great library with a variety of books, which personally helped me a lot.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. The notes they provided and their teaching methods made it easy for every student to understand and take notes at that moment. The teaching quality was great. The semester exams were not too tough. If you prepared for them, but if you didn’t, they could be a little difficult.
Other: The college was overall great. But it would have been great. If the cafeteria had been more affordable, as the food was very costly with limited options. Other than that, the college was great with all the events and fests.

The college has good and helpful teachers.
Placements: Above 75% marks are needed to get this course. Right now I don't have much idea about it, but we can get any research department or any museums for work. Top roles offered are researchers, architects, and archeologists. People can get any other working line.
Infrastructure: We have our department which is very big with all the facilities for our needs. As we don't have any hostel in our college, I would not say anything about this. We have a canteen which many students don't use mainly faculty members use the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The curriculum course makes students industry-ready. We get a long study leave before our exam. Usually, we need to study further after completing this course to get a higher job recruitment. 50% is the average mark for passing the semester exam.
Other: I always wanted to study history that is why I chose this course. They organize many educational tours for our betterment.

College life is not enjoyable. No placements and not good infrastructure.
Placements: No students are placed because here this course is not for placements but for higher studies like a master's degree or an academic career. We can apply in other places by ourselves for internships but it does not provide this facility (this is for till 2025 pass out batch).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but our professors don't know the password so it is of no use to us. Library has many books but labs and classrooms are not up to the mark. There are no hostels. You have to stay in PG nearby or travel from home. Food quality is horrible in mess and canteen. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. Semester exams are taken by University of Calcutta. Difficult level is easy if we follow 10 years questions and syllabus. Pass percentage is 30%. This course is not industry-related and does not make students industry-ready. We have to be ready to study on our own.
Other: I am from 2022-2025 batch. B.Sc. Zoology honors is a course for knowing more about the animal world. It has the facility to go for higher studies like M.Sc. and Ph.D. It would be improved if it were more competitive and exam-oriented.

My college experience and memories.
Placements: Not much placement opportunities were provided in my college when I studied there we were encouraged to opt for higher education. Recently I heard from a junior that they had my college has made internship mandatory so I am proud of that. They had to intern in different institutes.
Infrastructure: Our campus is tidy and maintained really well. The laboratories were provided with modern and up to date equipment. The library has an excellent collection of books. The garden and plants are mainted well. My only complain is that the campus is too small to host our sporting events.
Faculty: The professors were knowledgeable and taught us really well. We were provoded with good amount pf study materials and were well-equipped for our exams. Our college is affiliated with calcutta university so the exams were hosted by them. The exams were of moderate difficult.

Really good infrastructure.
Placements: 100% of the students got internships in really good places. The 2023-27 batch from English department were given internship in the linguistics department of jadavpur university, with highly valued certificates. The entire internship procedure was arranged and guided by the professors.
Infrastructure: The department is well maintained with inbuilt departmental library filled with books of different languages. The library is well sir conditioned. The canteen food is quite enjoyed by the students and are very hygienic and well made. Indoor games and yoga classes are also there.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful even the teaching quality is quite good. Semesters are very well arranged by the college and the pass percentage is almost 90%. The courses provided by the College, will definitely make the students industry ready. Even the non teaching staffs are quite friendly
Other: The campus crowd is quite friendly. The campus is eco friendly.
There are availability of different scholarships for the students.
