Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) - Batch of 2030
Offered by SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Bangalore
4.4
For the quality of education and treatment.
Placements: You can also get a government job after a single degree. As this is a single degree it is recommended to do a double degree. Everyone will be doing an internship in college. Roles like professor, assistant professor, and associate professor play important roles. Minimum 10 LPA package is offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the classroom, library, and separate departmental areas. Free medical facilities within the hospital. Good quality of food, and a canteen is available. Infrastructure is new and well-developed. Good quality of hostel facility more than value for money.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified with their knowledge making it easy for students to understand. It makes students easily ready for their future with good income. Exams are not very difficult but where there is pain there is gain. You can easily access extra knowledge.
Other: I had to become an Ayurveda practitioner, hence I chose a course that is well-improved which can improve in the premises area. Monthly and annual co-curriculum is done.

BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery - Batch of 2029
Offered by Taranath Government Ayurveda Medical College
4.2
It's one of the best government college in the Karnataka State.
Placements: We all have cleared the NEET exam, we got a seat here. After the completion of the 4.5 years, we get paid internships monthly for 1 year. After the completion of the course, there are many options, like we can start our own hospital or work in another hospital and study for PG further.
Infrastructure: There is a separate block for each department. Now, the hospital capacity has also increased, as the construction of 2 floors has been done, which gives more exposure for practice. The college has all labs, digital classrooms, and a newly pharmacy construction that also started last year.
Faculty: All lecturers have cleared KPSC exams to get a job in the government colleges as lecturers. Practice in the hospital is very helpful. It makes it very easy for practice after the completion of the internship. As it is a medical course where you have to study both Ayurvedic and allopathy medicine, it makes it a little difficult.

We have a great infrastructure and a very good teaching faculty.
Placements: We don't have placement. Mostly, we need to find a job outside. Unlike any other field, we cannot sit on any placement opportunities, we need to find the best for ourselves. Mainly, we don't aim in placement at the same institution, we can have many other opportunities.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi access, a spacious library, and all the facilities are good. The classrooms can accommodate all 100 students and have good ventilation outdoor campus is also good. The faculty is good with great knowledge, and all staff respond equally and are very well qualified.
Faculty: Everything is good and worth the money. The faculty is well qualified, highly professional, and very supportive. We aim to conduct research at the undergraduate level only. We have many opportunities in our college. Our non-teaching staff are also very supportive.
Other: I was very passionate about treating people, and this was the right path to choose. Ayurveda MOT only treats people, it also aims to heal people.

Some facilities are good and some are average. Admission is done through a 3 category fee structure.
Placements: Every batch strength is 100 students, and every year it gets filled. Practicing with a Plan B.A.M.S. degree can get a salary of around Rs. 30,000 per month, varying according to places. Many ayurvedic pharmacy companies hire those who pass, and some start their practice. Top roles are a teacher in a medical college, entrepreneurship in Ayurveda, practitioners, and pursuing an MD and Ph.D. to boost opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college building and the hostel building are newly built. The environment is very good with lots of greenery around. The campus is big enough. Classrooms are ventilated naturally. Floor-wise washrooms are available, and classrooms are spacious. Hostel rooms are clean, though some are spacious and some are cramped. The college has provided access to a library and an e-library. The college does not have a certain canteen but has its mess. The food quality is good. Around the college campuses, lots of other messes are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The curriculum is good; it includes both Ayurveda and modern parts of the syllabus, so we can correlate them and gain knowledge. Semester examinations are smooth if you study harder. They do not entertain cheating. The passion percentage is 50%.
Other: This course is very good and interesting. It has its ancient science, which helps to maintain health. More clinical exposure and more opportunities could be better for these students. Unlike MBBS students, we can do Panchakarma therapy by giving instructions to therapists. This is a very important branch of Ayurvedic practitioners for future scope. Scholarships are available to Karnataka students only because the college is in Karnataka. Admissions are open to any state. I'm from Maharashtra, so for me, fees are higher, e.g., 400000 (MGT) and 250000 (AIQ).

I'm satisfied with faculty and facilities.
Placements: 98% of students got placed from our course. The package is 20 LPA to 25 LPA. All students got internships from our college and no one does outside. Hospital is the best in our town B.A.M.S. doctors are the top doctors from our college.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, all the facilities are provided and it's is good and the food provided by the hostel is good. They use good quality materials for making the food. The building is well constructed and the rooms are clean and they clean it daily and the bathroom and toilets are good.
Faculty: The teachers are fully helpful and they are qualified doctors. They are filled with knowledge and they have experience in how to teach and they are the best teachers and friendly. Our college conducts exams yearly not semester-wise. The college has the best exam.
Other: B.A.M.S. is our Indian medical system so I chose this course.

Review of Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sion, Mumbai - 22.
Placements: It’s a medical course in which you learn about medical science in both aspects: Ayurveda as well as modern medical science. It’s service-based, and some companies also provide jobs, just like placements. Nearly 70-80% of students get placed. B.A.M.S. is an Ayurveda course, and for Ayurveda, it’s the best.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Location-wise, it’s situated in mid-suburban Mumbai, which is convenient. The hostel facility is also good, but the food quality is a little disappointing sometimes. The staff behavior is a very good part of this college.
Faculty: Facilities for UG are excellent, and PG facilities are also good. Behaviour-wise, they are very good as well. The course curriculum is also good. After the 2021 changes through NCISM, many things changed post-COVID, with the focus mainly on practicals rather than theory, which was previously emphasized.
Other: It’s a good college for Maharashtra, as well as all India quota students, and many hospitals nearby, also provide exposure to the clinical aspect.

A good place to study, but not to enjoy.
Placements: The placement here is very poor. The internship is not paid, instead, we have to pay to do the internship. The highest salary is for a PG student who gets selected as an assistant professor in the same college, earning nearly Rs.80,000 to 1 lakh.
Infrastructure: The college is well maintained, with new buildings and laboratories. The hospital is neat, clean, and well-maintained. Departments have Wi-Fi connections and are air-conditioned. Classrooms are also air-conditioned and have large boards with projectors. Electricity and generators work well.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, with the minimum qualification of a postgraduate degree. They teach very well and clear our doubts well. But sometimes they are quite busy because they also have to attend to patients in the hospital. The curriculum lasts for one and a half years. It is quite hectic, but manageable.
Other: I wanted to do MBBS but I didn't get the seat, so I got B.A.M.S. It is quite good, but the campus is not very big, and it feels like a school.

It is a good college for studies but campus experience is average.
Placements: Students here are quite dissatisfied with the internship program. The internees here are not paid, rather they only have to pay for doing an internship here. The students who got out from here are on their own in perceiving the upcoming job. The patient inflow is less and the patient exposure is low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is quite well. All the departments here are equipped with Wi-Fi and ceiling fans. It has one indoor auditorium and one seminar hall. The classrooms here are well-equipped with projector speakers and air conditioning. The library here has a vast number of books. Overall the infrastructure is decent.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well educated with a minimum of a postgraduate degree. They are very good at explaining things and making the classes engageable. The exam patterns are quite tight. For every month there will be periodic tests and once every three months there will be an internal assessment.
