The selection criteria for BSc Maths at Sikkim Professional University considers a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 in PCM. The University offers 6 semesters in total to complete any specialisation of BSc. For courses such as MSc the duration span is 4 semesters and the candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the chosen specialisation of BSc. Apart from this, the selection criteria may also require some other qualifications as per the University.

Sikkim Professional University courses offer BTech, MTech and Diploma in 4 specialisations, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and CS. The College of Engineering offers BTech as an 8-semester-long course and the eligibility criteria for it involve a minimum aggregate of 50% in 10+2 with PCM. The University offers M.Tech with a 4-semester duration and requires a minimum of 50% aggregate in the respective BE/BTech specialisation. For a Diploma, candidates get 6-semesters and are required to qualify for Class 10 with a 50% aggregate.

Recognised by the UGC and established in the year 1995, Sikkim Manipal University is a private university. It has an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC accreditation and has various other approvals from institutional bodies such as MCI, NCI, AICTE and a few more. It ranks 21 by the IIRF 2024 ranking in the category of ‘Private Universities Good for BTech/MTech Programs’. The University has a placement record of 2023 with a 100% placement rate for courses such as MD/MS.

Assam Down Town University (ADTU), on the other hand, was established in the year 2010 and has a campus size of 80 acres. It is recognised by the UGC, AICTE, INC, PCI and IAP, offering 20+ courses in full-time and distance mode. The placement rate as of 2023 at this University is recorded as 94.5%, while, the number of jobs offered was around 6K+. The number of companies that provided employment was around 700+ and the highest package stood around INR 12 LPA.
