I am satisfied with all the facilities, but there should be some improvement.
Placements: About 30% of students are placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 60000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 20000 per month. Top recruiting companies include IFFCCO, Biostadt, Bayer, Synginta, and Root2Fruit. People are working as territory managers, marketing managers, agricultural graduate trainees, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides well-developed facilities. Wi-Fi and a library are available. The hostel is moderate, with separate halls for vegetarian and non-vegetarian students. There is a canteen that is open the majority of the time with all the fast food and necessary items.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified with specialised knowledge in subjects. They are helpful and friendly. Our course curriculum is as per ICAR. It needs little improvement when it comes to industry-related issues. Exams are easy. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course because it has good scope in agriculture, and India is an agricultural country, so we have flexibility. New labs and technologies should be introduced, and more practical knowledge should be given as per international standards. Faculty members host different events, and different days are celebrated every week. The campus is not that crowded. The campus is near the Kupwara-Sopore highway, so connectivity is good and surroundings are peaceful with an army camp on one side. Toppers are given scholarships every semester. They are based on the grades you get on semester exams.

Satisfied with all the facilities, yet there is always room for improvement.
Placements: Our batch had 120 students, and 60 of them joined Master's, and the rest opted for different fields. About 30% of students got placed in pesticide and fertilizer companies like Bayer, Root 2 Fruit, Biostad, etc., as marketing managers, sales officers, territory managers etc. The average package offered was 30,000 per month, the lowest salary was 15,000, and the highest salary is 45,000 per month. 3 people got jobs in IFFCO and a few in FPO in NAFED as CEO. However, there were only a few government jobs. Placements still demand more improvements as 40% percent is very less.
Infrastructure: The whole course outline is as per the guidelines of ICAR, and every subject is taught by well-qualified research scholars and teachers. We have smart classrooms in every department, yet labs require more improvement. We have many books and research material in libraries, but it is not open 24/7, and it requires more space. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostels are connected with wire and wireless Wi-Fi. Hostels are good when it comes to hygiene and facilities, and there is regular maintenance. There are 4 mess facilities, 2 for UG, 1 for PG, and 1 vegetarian mess. Students have the power to control what they want to eat in the mess. Although there is a canteen, that needs an improvement in the menu. You can get basic food items whenever you want. Every hostel has a proctor, and there is a dispensary and an ambulance available. The campus has enough space for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and helpful. They use the simplest way possible to make us understand things. Their teaching quality keeps improving. The whole curriculum is relevant, and it has been developed as per the guidelines of ICAR. We have courses that make students industry-ready, like soft skills, computer science, entrepreneurship etc. Each semester has mid-term and end-term exams, and they are moderate. The pass percentage is 50% in UG and 60% in PG.
Other: Agriculture, being the backbone of India, is an emerging science, and we need to strengthen our economy with this. Agriculture also gives many job opportunities in both the government and private sectors and banks. There is a lot to do when it comes to research in agriculture. So, this is the future. More practical knowledge and industry-related courses should be included to make students aware of the latest happenings and trends in this area where they can improve and contribute. The college is in the Baramulla district, a village called Wadura. It is directly connected with the Sopore-Handwara highway. There are about 1000 students pursuing degrees in agriculture. The campus is over an area of 93 hectares, so the place is not much crowded. Extracurricular activities are conducted here.

I am absolutely satisfied with everything.
Placements: There are very few opportunities like placement drives, campus jobs, etc. IFFCO and FIL industries are the main recruiters. Some students got internships at Cornell, some got at fil, and some at Bayer.
Infrastructure: It is an mesmerising campus and an excellent hostel for both boys and girls. Hostel life is excellent with all the basic facilities like water, electricity, playground, lights, books, library, orchards, etc. The quality of food is excellent not to be messed with tasty and nutritious.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent. Experiments are less frequently done for UG. The curriculum makes students somewhat market-ready. Exams are very difficult, hectic, and stressful. Around 98% pass the exams.
Other: I like plants. More jobs, more practical learning, and everything are fine.

Our college got 9th rank in ICAT ranking among agricultural institutes across India.
Placements: Placements within the state of J&K are totally government based vacancies. However, a lot of placements can be seen outside India. Fertilizer companies also participate in the recruitment here. But to get good placements, it is required to pursue M.Sc and PhD. There is also ICAR NET exam option after B.Sc.
Infrastructure: The hostel and classroom for 1st year are not satisfactory, but good after 1st year. The library and labs are well maintained and have good infrastructure. The campus is away from city noise and is green. The campus is lovely and soothing, and rainfall is common. The mountain is just 2 km away from here, and also a river is 1 km away. The ground is huge but not well maintained. Exams are more important here than studies.
Faculty: Internal mid-semester and external end semester exams are conducted every semester. Each of them carries half marks. The passing percentage is 50%. Exams are more important than study here, and practicals are conducted rarely. Fieldwork is provided sometimes, and labs have a high collection of equipment. Internal exams constitute written exams, practicals and viva, while external exams constitute only written exams.
Other: Overall, our college is worth it and is really good. It is the best college for BSc.

It has a serene and soothing environment to study.
Placements: SKUAST Kashmir is one of the leading universities of Jammu and Kashmir. There were 108 students in our class. All the students were well-mannered, supportive and motivating. Many students from our course got an internship, and I also got an internship. Many national and international companies often offer various programmes offering students job opportunities. Recently a company from Thailand visited our college and offered various jobs to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is well-equipped. The hostels have large rooms and a Wi-Fi facility. Our college provides digital classrooms. There are many well-maintained libraries and labs. But the hostel lacks in providing students pure water, which is the largest problem. The quality of mess and the food served is better as compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very generous. They have good teaching experience of 7 to 8 years. Students are trained to the extent that they can go and make fortunes everywhere. Term exams are conducted two times every year. The difficulty in exams is moderate, and the pass percentage is above 50%.
Other: I have chosen this course because it has a bright future and we can make our life best at this university.

It is one of the best ICAR accredited agricultural universities in India.
Placements: Placement cells are improving day by day. The placement cell is not much active till now. Very few companies visit our campus. However, maximum students go for masters and PhD degrees. After that, they can apply for an assistant professor post, which is very prestigious. There is less scope for government jobs. Salaries are good, i.e., approximately 4 LPA, but opportunities are not much high.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is quite good. Hostel facilities are very good, but lack of Wi-Fi connection is a huge problem. Labs are averagely furnished, but classrooms are smart and well-developed. Medical facilities are available. The library is huge and packed with many agricultural books. The campus is very beautiful with excellent surroundings, vast research plants, beautiful gardens, long agricultural fields, sports grounds, etc.
Faculty: All the professors are well-qualified and extremely helpful. They have superb teaching quality, and they also help all students if they have any doubt. The course curriculum is very good and enjoyable, and there are 9 courses per semester. The mode of practical classes should be improved. The student to faculty member ratio is 30:1. After completion of the course, we are ready and well-prepared for industries and jobs.
Other: Farmer's fest named Kisan Mela, cleanliness drive, hostel surveys and cultural programs are conducted every year. Campus crowd is low because of the hilly region. Students who are admitted into our university through ICAR can get an ICAR scholarship of Rs. 36,000 per year.
