The selection of students for the PhD programme is made on the basis of the SVURECET conducted by DOA from time to time. Shortlisted candidates through the entrance exams needed to appear in the viva voce to complete the admission process.
Sri Venkateswara University (SV University) offers 72 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Science, Engineering, Accounting and Commerce, Information Technology and Software, and Management Studies, as well as a number of Diploma and certificate programmes. SV University has 5 constituent colleges, such as College of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Engineering. For several PG courses, the SV University administers the Common Entrance Exams (SV University CET), and for research programmes, the RECET.
Candidates can apply for Distance Education programmes at SVU Tirupati by filling out application forms on the official website. Candidates need to select the subject as per their eligibility criteria and also select the Study Centre or DDE Admission Counselling Centre according to their convenience, and the application should be routed through the Study Centre or DDE Admission Counselling Centre only. After admission is given, every student will be allotted an enrollment number, which they should invariably carry throughout the period of study in all their future correspondence with the DDE. Without this number, it is not possible for the university to track the information.
