The college has decent infrastructure, and the facilities are absolutely helpful towards the course.
Placements: 36 students were there in my batch. The highest package is 52 Lacs per annum, the lowest is 2-5 Lacs per annum, and the average is 7.19 Lacs per annum. Renowned recruiters include IBM, Wipro, Oracle, and TCS. 70% to 80% got internships with Amazon in Data Analysis.
Infrastructure: The facilities that the university provides are decent enough. We don’t have a playground, but the university hosts department-level games like football, running, and other sports. We do have a computer lab and a library too, and the classrooms are also decent enough. The hostel food is absolutely poor. There is no canteen, but we do have a board game in college.
Faculty: The teachers are absolutely helpful. Their qualifications are either Ph.D. or M.A. pass-outs. Their teaching quality is decent enough. I do think it makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams are pretty tough, and the pass percentage is 40%. We have tests organized every month, which contain marks, and it is definitely helpful at exam time.
Other: I’ve been successfully passed out from the university, and the course has been absolutely helpful in my day-to-day life. The punctuality of time management should be improved. For events, we have Sports Day, College Reunion, and Meraki Fest.

All about SRM University Sikkim, Gangtok.
Placements: Our college provides placement opportunities. Companies like Bajaj Finance, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Moengage, and UNIQLO have come to our university for recruitment. The highest package offered is 9.25 LPA by Moengage, and 60% of students get placed. The top roles offered are associates and managers.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-furnished central library, computer labs, science labs, a studio for journalism students, and a kitchen for HTM students. We also have digitalized classrooms. Hostels are available for both girls and boys. Food facilities are average; one hostel is in Daragaon and the other is in Tadong.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are really supportive and friendly. The teachers in my department are all doctorate-certified, to my knowledge. To rate the teaching quality, I would give it a 7/10. Regarding the curriculum, I think it's pretty okay. All the necessary aspects for the overall development of students are covered in their respective courses, with both theoretical and practical knowledge. The difficulty of exams is medium.
Other: I've had a keen interest in the field of business since a very young age. To further my knowledge in this field, I chose the BBA course. The best thing about my course is that I get to learn in both practical and theoretical ways. I have the opportunity to visit industries and interact with experts. Since this BBA program requires more practical knowledge to prepare for work in corporate environments and entrepreneurship, I wish our college would provide us with more practical teaching. There are usually one or two events each month conducted by different departments. Some of the annual departmental fests include Innovatives and Food Fest. The college's annual fests are Meraki and Athlone. There is not much of a campus crowd in our college, as it is segregated into three blocks: the main block, science block, and social block. Our college provides 100% scholarship on tuition fee waivers for school toppers, 50% for second school toppers, 25% through HRDD government, and 10% for COI holders. We also have various university clubs, such as the Eco Club, Rotaract Club, Melodiam Music Club, and Dance Club.

Fun but hectic at times, faculty is nice, but campus is not, but it’s still fun, you’ll enjoy it.
Placements: About 70% can get the perfect placement based on their academics.
Infrastructure: Everything is okay, but we don't have a perfect campus. Wi-Fi is available 24/7, labs are up to date, and events are fun. As for college, I wouldn't know as I don't live in a hostel, but other than that, everything is okay.
Faculty: It can get hectic during exam and test season, but it's easier to pass in SRM than to fail, so you'll be okay. It doesn't make you industry-ready, but you'll get knowledge on how to do so, it's fun, and okay. SRM is an average college, even faculty members are chill and nice, you'll get the hang of it.
Other: College is fun, but overall, it can get hectic at times, but it's fun. During admission, you can get scholarships if you're a COI holder, you can get 10% waiver on tuition fees, and there are state scholarships, too, and school toppers scholarships, where you don't have to pay any tuition fee for your entire 3 years.

Beautiful memories of university .
Placements: I am in the B.A. English department. The percentage of students who were placed is approximately 30%. The highest package is 20 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA offered in my course. The role offered in my college is to become a professor, and I would like to graduate and teach at that university.
Infrastructure: In our university, Wi-Fi is available, and many courses like B.Sc., BBA, B.A., etc., are offered. We have a library and a gym for those who are interested in bodybuilding. We also have a computer lab and classes to improve computer skills, as well as creative classes where we create new things and ideas.
Faculty: Yes, teachers' nature is very good, and they help students with their studies and also provide real-world experience. I would like to be a teacher myself, just like my teachers, because they help in everything, not just in studies but also in other activities. Students learn from teachers very well.
Other: I chose this course because, in the future, I would like to be a teacher myself and help others learn and understand each other. I want to become a good teacher, just like Ms. Manisha from the English department. I think we need a campus in our university and a canteen for students.

MBA at SRM University Sikkim.
Placements: Placement at SRM is not good as we don't get good companies with good packages. An average company with very few packages used to come. I, being the gold medalist, was not provided with a job. I had to try for 2 years, and finally I got it by myself.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and other facilities are pretty good. Most of the facilities are provided to us. The labs are good, and the specifications are also good for the systems. Other facilities, like the library, are places where we can go and study. The only thing we lack is sports grounds. There is nothing in terms of sports.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but not good in terms of teaching. What I feel is that they lack practical knowledge and only teach in terms of theory. I was not happy with most of the teachers having good qualifications but lacking in understanding basic concepts.

The best thing is that university provides good placement opportunities and career support.
Placements: The highest percentage was 96-97%, and the student was sponsored by the university as he was a topper. Not particularly, but almost everyone got placed. Recruiting companies were Taj, Marriott, Hyatt, and many more. Roles offered were chairman, general manager, VP, room division, corporate HR, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our campus was excellent. They would provide everything that was necessary for the course. The food was good and hostel was like bungalow. No idea about the boys hostel however, girls hostel was nice and beautiful. The food was amazing. It provided a friendly neighbourhood and a safe place.
Faculty: Teachers were wonderful, very helpful, and humble. Curriculum was relevant and depended on the individual because if you were naturally interested. The semester exams were easy to crack. Pass percentage I would again say it depends on the candidate, no courses were easy.
Other: This was secondary option but with time you figure out this was the most suitable course for me. The best thing about this course was that it allowed you to travel places while working. I wish the internship could be much longer than 6 or 4 months because there were so many fields and sectors to choose as a core therefore, atleast a year would be great for all the students to figure out their interest while exploring all the sectors. Everything was great and something was always happening to keep the students occupied.

SRM University, Sikkim Cutoff Faqs

Candidates will be assigned colleges in accordance with the SRMJEEE cut-off scores. The SRMJEEE cut-off 2023 will depend on a number of variables, such as the exam's difficulty, candidates' average scores, the number of candidates taking the exam, and the number of seats available.
