As per the available information, there is no provision for direct admission to the BVSc course of SVVU Tirupati. The university accepts the EAMCET scores for admission against 85% of the total BVSc scores. The remaining seats are filled by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi through a common entrance examination. Candidates seeking SVVU Tirupati BVSc admission are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the university. There is a two-fold eligibility requirement for course admission. The educational qualification and age requirement for BVSc admission at the university are listed below:
- Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English
- A relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate requirement is provided to SC & ST candidates
- Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years and should not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years of the admission year. A relaxation of five years in the age criteria is provided to SC & ST candidates
There are two ways to secure admission at SVVU Tirupati for BVSc course. Those who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age can get admission at the university in one of the following two ways:
- 85% of the total seats are filled under state quota through the combined counselling conducted by ANGRAU based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit. Within the state quota, there is a Farmers' quota wherein 25% of area-wise seats are reserved for candidates from farmers' families with 3 acres of agricultural land. Such candidates must have studied in a rural area for a minimum period of four years
- 15% of the total seats are filled by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi through a common entrance examination
Yes, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University does offer scholarships to eligible students. The scheme is initiated by the state government. Under this scheme, a scholarship of INR 962 per month to the BC and INR 1,200 per month to the SC and ST students is offered. The tuition and special fee of all eligible students, including economically backward and minority students is also reimbursed under this scheme.

The admission to Masters programme will depend on the marks in Bachelors in Dairy which will be 30% of the total weightage and on performance in PG Entrance test which will be 70% of the total weightage.
The placements of Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University for their students in a recent placement drive was - 25 students from B.Tech in Dairy Technology were placed with an average package of INR 2.40 LPA. Apart from this, the placement cell is also active for students to ensure good placement for Diploma students as well. According to the students of the University, the highest salary package was INR 9 LPA in their placement while the lowest salary package was INR 4 LPA.
