Symbiosis International University, SIU requires entrance tests for its flagship undergraduate and many postgraduate programmes. A few programmes and categories allow admission without taking an entrance exam through alternative routes such as merit-based selection, lateral entry, or direct admission schemes.

• Undergraduate (BBA, BBA-IB, B.Tech via SLAT/SET/SIUE/SLAT variants, Law via SLAT/SET/LSAT India where applicable): SIU uses specific entrance tests  for most professional courses.
• Postgraduate professional programs (MBA via SNAP, M.Tech, etc.) commonly require the prescribed exam (SNAP for MBA).

If candidates are applying for BA in Visual Arts or Media & Communication at Symbiosis International, Pune, they can get direct admissions after completing Class 12 board exams.

However, candidates who choose to apply for other BA courses cannot get direct admission into those courses without appearing in SET.

Candidates wishing to get admission at Symbiosis International Pune should fulfil course-specific eligibility criteria.
