Q: Why does a candidate need to pay an additional INR 1,000 per programme in SITEEE?
A:
A candidate has to pay for the SET scores, which will be considered for shortlisting candidates for the further admission process (PI-WAT / ST-PI) by individual Institutes only for the programmes. If a candidate is desirous to submit his candidature to select UG programmes, then it is necessary to complete the payment process for the desired programme before the closing date of payment for the same. Payment towards the programmes should be made via the website only, which is set-test.org. After making the payment for the SITEEE, proceed to complete the online registration form for the programme (s) and the respective institute (s). Also, it is required of a candidate to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage. If a candidate wants to pay via DD for each programme, they have to pay in the name of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat".
Even after closing the payment for SITEEE, a candidate may still pay through the website until the last date of payment for the programmes (s). An institute may offer more than one programme. Here, a candidate has to ensure that the preferred programme (s) is/are selected and paid before the last date.

Absolutely talented students.
Placements: I am part of the first batch enrolled under the new system offering two separate B.A. and BBA degrees, both have different subjects, fee structures, and students cannot mix majors/minors across them. We are also pursuing an integrated Bachelors + honours degree. We can leave if we want to leave after getting a bachelors.
Infrastructure: The campus has good Wi-Fi connectivity. Some classrooms are air conditioned, while others are not. The library is well stocked with useful books. Hostels are good, offering four meals a day in the mess with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. However, washing machines are not provided in hostels, so students need to manage laundry on their own.
Faculty: College offers the best curriculum with a perfect mix of theory and practical learning. The faculty is experienced and supportive. Admission is through the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), and the academic exposure is truly enriching and holistic. Semesters are not that difficult if you study regularly.

Placements: This (2024-2028) is the first batch of this course. B.A. in mass media is a different course. This college has been providing since this year. Still, the course before these 2 different courses B.A. and BBA in media came to our college. It provides the same major minor courses but now it is separated into 2 different courses. The highest package till now is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24X7 with perfect speed all over the campus and hostel. Library has different types of books. You can find books on many movies and famous directors, mass communications books, economics related, and also fictional books. Hostel has facilities like 4 times meals. Food is better than in other hostels. We have games like pool, carrom, chess, badminton, basketball, and table tennis.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. It gives practical knowledge and assignments to do. You need a CGPA to pass the year. Exams are not tough. If students study in class and make it regularly, it's easy to pass with good grades. But as it is a media college, you should know how to write. If you don't know how to do this, course also provides a subject to study how to write.

Best Photography College in India.
Placements: The college provides the space and support rather than placing you into an internship for you to find one of your own. By offering us this freedom, we are totally in control over where to work and the type of photography experience we might want to gain. Whether it be journalism, fashion or travel, we get to tailor our search rather than being provided a random placement. Being in charge of your internship also helps in improving skills essential for a photographer, like networking, self-branding and pitching oneself in the industry.
Infrastructure: The college has a total of 5 photography studios along with a dark room processing studio. The fashion photography studio is equipped with various backdrops and lighting suited for such. The product and food photography studio has different props that can be used for shoots. Moreover we have an automobile photography studio, a cinematography studio and a tabletop photography studio.
Faculty: The faculty members are well educated in their fields and have hands-on training in the courses that they teach. They are ready to guide in any difficulties that one might face in academics. Each course in every semester is well-planned and is provided with ample equipment and resources needed to complete it. The college also brings in various guest faculty members who are at the top of their respective fields. They also take us on well-executed field visits that further help in our photographic journey.

Experienced faculty, amazing facilities.
Placements: Almost 75-80% people are placed, with the highest of 9-10 LPA and an average of 4-5 LPA. Many media houses, like Frizzon, Viacom, Ogilvy, Zomato, and many more, visit for placements. Companies that come for internships also come with placement opportunities and PPO by the mid of the last semester of your academic year.
Infrastructure: The college campus is comparatively small, but the equipment provided is really good—studio floor, sound lab, photography lab, audiography room, recording room, green screen room, with professional cameras, mics, MAC OS PCs, everything! The hostel is great for living, with beautiful rooms, personal attached neat washrooms, and all facilities provided. The food is average in the mess and canteen. The hostel also has a pool table, TT table, basketball court, and a medical room facility as well.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty good and experienced, with many coming from the industry with personal experience, helping us learn to face real-life situations. Directors and screenwriters come to take guest lectures, and the teaching is amazing, giving a lot of reality checks about the field. The course curriculum is good and makes students industry-ready with a lot of prior experience through assignments. The college focuses more on internals than exams, which is actually good as the assignments are broader and give better learning and experience than exams.
Other: The course gave me a lot of experience through assignments on making short films, which is really helpful in the AV field and curriculum.

Excellent choice of subjects, dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: The college, despite being a branch of Symbiosis International University, which is one of the top colleges in India, does not offer good campus placements. The rate of getting a campus placement straight out of the Liberal Arts course is quite difficult. However, a liberal arts education helps build essential soft skills that help you advance faster in any career that you choose to specialise in.
Infrastructure: The college campus consists of one floor of classrooms, sharing the building with Symbiosis Law School and Symbiosis School of International Studies. The building has an on campus hostel, sports grounds, retail shops, cafeteria amd gym. The college also offers free on campus healthcare for all students. The other off campus hostels, for both girls and boys, are clean, well maintained and offer mess food 4 times a day.
Faculty: The college has a unique 4 year course structure, with a vast variety of subjects to choose from including Psychology, Anthropology, Physics Maths Biology History, English International Relations and Theatre to name a few. You can also choose between three course routes with double minor specialisation with single major, double major specialisation, or single minor single major. The course offers a deep interdisciplinary understanding of any subjects of your choosing, hence making it perfect if you don't know what exactly your field of interest is. Most of the faculty is highly experienced in their field and excellent at capturing the attention of the students.
Other: I chose this course because of its interdisciplinary structure, where you can mix and match upto 3 subjects of your choosing as well as various electives each year. You can choose to join as many of the officials clubs run by the college as you want, like the dance club, queer club, poetry club, etc.etera. The college is also starting its own fest this year, called Symmelan. 2022 will be the first time SSLA hosts its own fest on the college grounds. The college provides a few scholarships according to merit as well as external scholarships.

Review of Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts, Symbiosis International, Pune.
Placements: Most of SSLA alumni is accepted into masters programs abroad. Some institute visit our campus for recruitment like John Hopkins University, etc. Moreover, most students prefer to complete their masters than get placed.
Infrastructure: SSLA shares its building with SLS and the third floor is purely for liberal arts. Although just one floor may sound small, and it is spacious. Students have a maintained library, halls, etc. The canteen is also hygienic. Although our campus does not have a swimming pool, SIU students have access to pools and other facilities from across campuses.
Faculty: Faculty members are top-notch. The course structure is very unique and holistic and lives up to the liberal arts name. While 75% of weightage is internals and 25% is semester-end exams, it becomes hectic throughout the year. Managing varied courses with unique assessments for each will give students an experience of corporate life. On top of this, students will have to have 75% of attendance in each course to be able to give exams.
Other: The course structure is very impressive. From writing to mathematics to law, students will get to try their hands at almost everything. All are very unique and accommodating courses with an emphasis over research.
