Hello Aspirant, Thapar is now taking admissions on the basis of your 10 +2 Board examinations as due to this Covid 19 pandemic, JEE and other exams have been postpned. But the student must have appeared in the JEE Mains exam. The basic criteria of admissions are on the basis of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject

As per my knowledge, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Amazing faculty, infrastructure, campus life, comfortable accommodation, food, and placement facilities make TIET worth it. For Computer Science Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the bests in India. It has been ranked 29th under NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) by the Government of India rankings. Placements: Around 75% of my seniors are placed by the end of March and more will be placed in the coming month. The average package of the current batch is 5.87 LPA. Companies like Hyundai, KPMG, MRF visited the campus. The students were offered job roles in sales and marketing. Around 70% of the students got an internship from the campus. The average stipend is 7000 per month. The placement cell gives its best place to all the students.
Infrastructure: One of the most advanced campus in India. The facility includes Wi-Fi, medical facilities, library, sports, the mess, hostel and academic block is fully air-conditioned. The quality of mess and canteen food is good. I don't face any infrastructure related issue at the college.
