Thapar University Patiala Answered Questions

If you are a decent student academically Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology has a lot to offer. Just go for it don't think how are the placements because their job is only up to bringing companies to college. What really matters is your skills.
So, if you really want to study and want to make your future bright. You can opt for Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology for sure.

Both the colleges are equally good, but I will vote for Thapar University, Patiala because of the standard which the University has maintained since the establishment.
I will try to distinguish between both the colleges with the help of certain parameters:
ADMISSION PROCESS:Thaper University admits it's students on the basis of JEE main marks.Usually cutoff goes higher for Computer engineering (around 180).While SRM University conducts it's own examination called SRMJEE.
CAMPUS: SRM University has a very good and beautiful campus.Student intake is higher in SRM University.
PLACEMENT: Thaper University has average package of around 8 lakhs per annum while SRM University has average package of around 5 lakhs per annum.
Thaper don't have any management quota seat where as SRM had few seats reserved for the management quota.
Fee is almost similar in both the colleges.And location wise Chennai has the upper hand over Patiala.

Hi Nishant, you can not get any branch in Thapar University with this score in JEE Mains. I will suggest you to go for some good private colleges like Amity University, Shardha University, Lovely Professional University, LNCT Bhopal etc. You should also predict other possible colleges here:

Thapar University is one of the best private colleges of India and comes under NIRF ranking. Thapar is well known for good placement, good faculty and obviously quality education but in the last you have to do the hard work to get the maximum use of all these.
