Life at The ICFAI University, Dehradun.
Placements: The college offers a variety of specializations, including IPR, Constitution, and Business. The college follows a CGPA system, and the average student gets a score of 6-7. With hard work, students can achieve a score of 9 or even 10. The college also has a placement office that helps students find jobs after graduation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. There are well-equipped smart classrooms with projectors and air conditioning on one floor (the newly constructed third floor). There is a sports complex, and a computer lab with about 100 computers. However, the Wi-Fi is not always reliable.
Faculty: The faculty members are above average and cooperative. They are supportive in every term like exam, guidance, and other moral support. The student can approach the faculty as per the requirement. Generally, the faculty members are available to consult after 4 pm or sometimes we can reach out via phone.

The college is good for studying, but there is no college life as shown or told to us.
Placements: In law, the placements are not that nice, but the faculty members are good. You have to search for jobs outside the campus, and you can work on your resume by doing internships, which will help you secure a better placement.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have any hostels on campus. They have some off-campus hostels, which are not that nice for boys. However, there are many options for PGs and flats around the college campus.
Faculty: The course and curriculum are according to the BCI, which is what a law student should study. The course includes all the latest subjects that will help us handle cases in modern law, and the exam pattern is also simple. They also have a mandatory internship every year.
Other: The surrounding area is not that nice in terms of locality.

Absolutely satisfied with the college
Placements: 75% student got placed from my course. Highest package till now is 12L per annum and lowest is 3L per annum, average package is 6-8L per annum. The top recruiting co pants are Khaitan co., ICICI bank, SBI bank, etc. 100% student got internship opportunities. Top roles offered in my course are legal advisor, litigants, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is pleasant. There are 2 libraries with free wifi. One library is open for all and one is for law students. Classrooms are of average size with Ac. There is a canteen in the college. Right now the college does not provide hostel but there are many hostels and pg near the college and they all are affordable. Medical facility is available in the college. There are grounds for sports and also time to time college organizes sports tournaments.
Faculty: The teachers are well experienced and helpful in nature. They have depth knowledge about their fields. The course curriculum make the student ready for industries as they taught the students about the competition, business environment economic structure, etc about the outside world. If you are attentive in the class and are regular in your studies then the semester exams are easy for you. 33% is the pass percentage for the college.

Dissatisfied due to poor infrastructure, faculty members, and management of the curriculum.
Placements: The placement was not so good for my senior batch, which passed in 2023. Out of 200 students, only 3 students from the BBA/LL.B. batch were selected, and 2 students from the B.A./LL.B. batch had the highest salary of INR 6 lacs per annum. The course structure is quite decent, as it provides a variety of subjects to choose from in honors. The college will provide the internship to those who will reach out for the placement for the same under-average lawyers only; do not expect to get the placement in a good law firm from the college.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a hostel of its own. The students have to find their own accommodation. There are lots of PGs near the college, but not all of them are good, so find the one that will be comfortable and affordable. Within a few days of your arrival, you will know about other PGs and rooms around the area, so if you are coming, just take a hostel, and then you can change it in the next semester for next month.
Faculty: The faculty are average. Most of the faculty members are recent law school graduates, so there are fewer, but some senior professors are quite good and quite knowledgeable, so if you're lucky, faculty will be assigned to your batch. The curriculum is good and has many useful subjects that are also given to help the students gain more, although it will depend on the teaching of the faculty, so I will recommend not depending on faculty members because most of them don't know the good of the subjects themselves.

It's a decent college in terms of faculty members and academics.
Placements: Placements are average. The highest salary package offered is around 7 LPA to 8 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA to 3 LPA. There is a compulsory internship every year. Other than that, a law degree from this university is considered good as it is also their flagship program.
Infrastructure: The campus is not that huge and does not have hostels. They are planning to construct hostels, but it will take about 2-3 years. It has a basketball court, a ground for cricket and football, a badminton court, and a volleyball court.
Faculty: Faculty members here are great and very helpful to students. The law program is quite famous at this university. The curriculum is up to the mark.

My experience in the ICFAI University
Placements: The placement cell of the college is very active. The companies like Khaitan and co, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Luthra and Luthra, etc., come for the placement. These companies come with a lot of opportunities for the students, and they provide a decent package for the freshers. The placement cells of the college often visit many more companies.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostels, but the infrastructure of the college is quite decent. It has two gardens with playgrounds and two libraries. One is the general library open for all, and one is the law library open for the law students only with Wi-Fi availability. The classrooms are Ac classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty of our university is very cooperative in nature and they try to solve queries of each student. All the faculty of our university is qualified with a PhD and they are experts in their subjects. Our exam is divided into four parts per semester. First is pre-mid, second is mid-term, third is post-mid, and the final term. My course is BBA LLB Hons and is a 5-year course.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to go into the corporate sector, and this university is good enough to achieve my goals and objectives. And this university organises a lot of events which enhance the practical knowledge of the students.

The total programme fee for IBS Dehradun MBA is INR 7.02 lakh. This fee also includes admission fee of INR 80,000. Besides, candidates also need to pay INR 10,000 as refundable caution deposit along with the first installment of fee. The fee for domicile students is INR 6.52 lakh.
