The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will tentatively conduct Common Law Admission Test on December 6, 2027 in pen and paper mode. Candidates who wish to appear for the CLAT Exam 2027 are required to fill out the application form on or before the deadline. The CLAT 2027 Exam will be conducted for admission to 24 NLUs in the country, except for NLU Delhi.

CNLUs will release CLAT question paper with answer key solution at its official website. The CLAT UG exam 2027 will have 120 MCQ questiosn carrying 120 marks. From CLAT 2024, the exam pattern has been revised. As per the new CLAT pattern, the CLAT 2027 exam consists of 120 questions instead of 150. The CLAT question paper for LLM courses contains both objective and subjective questions. However, the subjective questions in the CLAT LLM question paper have been removed by the Consortium.

In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.

CLAT Marking Scheme 2027

The consortium has released the marking scheme for CLAT Exam. Aspirants can refer to the marking scheme for UG courses below:

  • For every correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark.

  • For every wrong attempt, 0.25 marks are deducted from their total score.

  • No marks are awarded or deducted for questions not left un-attempted.

Yes, CLAT-UG is a mandatory entrance exam for BCom LLB (hons) admission at Nirma University. This institute does not accept any other entrance exams for this course nor does it conduct any exams of its own for admission. Candidates can beginning applying once CLAT-UG registrations begin.

Yes, SRM IST Kattankulathur does accept CLAT-UG scores for BBA LLB (hons) students. Candidates who apply through CLAT-UG do not need to appear in SRMJEEL and they will be called for personal interview directly.

No, candidates who apply for BBA LLB (hons) admissions at NMIMS Mumbai through CLAT-UG are not required to appear in NLAT to qualify. 

During selection process, such candidates will be selected based on CLAT-UG scores only for BBA LLB (hons) admission.

CLAT is not compulsory to get admission in BA LLB programme. Amity University, Bengaluru offers merit-based admission into BA LLB programme. However, the university accepts CLAT scores for admission as well.

No, CLAT is not compulsory for BA LLB at Jain University. The university accepts JET-LAW and AILET scores as well along with CLAT. The selection is based on entrance merit and interview performance.

Yes, students can get admision in JECRC University BA LLB without CLAT. JECRC University BA LLB admissions are merit- based. Students are selected based on scores in last qualifying exam, followed by Personal Interview. Although, preference is given to students with valid score in CLAT.
