What is UGPET?
Lucknow University conducts the Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test (UGPET) for admission to UG professional courses like BBA and BCA. UGPET exam was earlier known as LUGMAT. University of Lucknow conducts UGPET exam annually in an offline mode. It consists of 100 objective-type questions designed to evaluate candidates in areas such as analytical and logical reasoning, communication skills, corporate awareness, and general knowledge. Eligibility generally requires candidates to have completed Class 12 from a recognised board. Candidates need an aggregate score of 50 per cent if they belong to general categories. Whereas, 45 per cent is required for reserved categories.

UGPET 2026 Application Process
Registration: Apr ' 26 - Jun ' 26
UGPET exam form is released in an online mode only. Candidates are allowed to complete the UGPET registration from the official website. Candidates aspiring for admission through UGPET 2026 will have to fill the application cum exam form. Lucknow University releases the UGPET application form for all eligible candidates who complete Class 12. The application process shall require the candidates to fill in personal as well as academic details
The registration fee is as follows for BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (MS), BBA (Tourism).
- General and OBC category have to pay INR 1,000 (INR 2,000 with late fee)
- SC and ST candidates have to pay INR 500 (INR 1,500 with late fee)

Lucknow University website, lkouniv.ac.in, has the direct link to download UGPET 2026 admit cards. Candidates can download admit card of UGPET exam using login credentials, like registration number, password and date of birth. Candidates are required to carry a hard copy of UGPET hall ticket on the exam day. FAQs on UGPET 2026 Exam
The UGPET exam is conducted for admission to BBA and BCA courses. However, UGPET scores are also the criteria for admission to BA programs and DPharm courses at the university
UGPET is conducted in an offline mode. Candidates can take the exam at the designated test centres as notified by the Lucknow University. The official admission bulletin hosts the UGPET exam pattern, including the exam mode, number of questions, sections, exam duration, and more. Lucknow University can change the exam mode with the change of the exam sessions.
Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test will have a syllabus spread across four different sections for BBA admission. UGPET for BCA admission will have one additional section.
UGPET result is valid for one admission session only. Candidates aspiring for admission in the next admission cycle need to appear for the exam again.
UGPET is conducted for admission to BBA and BCA courses offered by Lucknow University. Candidates can apply for both the courses or one of them. Some of the topics included in numerical ability are Number System, Simplification, Percentage, P&L, Ratio, Proportion, Time and Work, Interest, Geometry, Clocks and Calendars, Combination, etc.
Questions from English language section of UGPET will be based on topics including Rearrangement, Sentence Completion, Sentence Improvement, Synonyms and Antonyms, One Word Substitution, etc.
UGPET exam for BBA admission will have questions from four sections, namely, General Knowledge, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.
Candidates must report any discrepancy in the UGPET admit card to the examination official of Lucknow University immediately after they download the admit card.
