To apply for undergraduate courses, a candidate must complete their 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 50% of the possible marks (45% for the ST/SC candidates). There is no entrance for these courses, and the applicants are selected based on their merit at 10+2. The brochure of the university says that " the candidate who has passed PUC from PU board of Karnataka state and 10+2 examination of ICSE/CBSE board from any school of Karnataka state need not produce eligibility certificate. however, the candidates have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the university if he/she has passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from other states including ICSE/CBSE. The candidates who have passed from ITI from any of the institutes of Karnataka state also have to obtain eligibility certificate from the university to get admission".
