A place to gather knowledge and experiences.
Placements: Though there's no proper placement programs, but professors helped to build up the links on various organisation for jobs. Most of the students of my batch and seniors are properly and well placed. At-most 75-80% of students are placed. Though the salary depends upon the organisation but the lowest salary goes around 12,000 and the highest rises accordingly. Campus visit has only been done by, Piramal School of Leadership for Gandhi fellowship programme, though last but one year All india radio, Film society of India has visited our campus. Different organisation has different job roles to offer including main stream journalism, content writing, public relation executive, media management, radio jockey, video editing, production unit executive and many more. As for internship, for the batch of 2017 almost 80% of students did internship on different fields. Most of them were unpaid internships. There is a placement cell. It is quite efficient and helpful.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Classrooms, Medical facilities, Hospital, Sports board includes gym, swimming and other indoor and outdoor games, media lab, Science labs, auditorium, hostel facilities, canteen, general kitchen are available. AC labs along with required equipment are available. The classrooms are Non AC. Proper meals and qualitative foods are available in the canteens. Hostel accommodation is also good. Provide tables, beds and cupboard for each and every students respectively. Though I haven't face but heard about bad food quality once from those who accommodated hostels.
Faculty: Every teachers over Visva-Bharati are quite helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good, private tuition is not required if you're attentive in classes. Approximately 10:1 is the ratio of student and teacher. Since the place is Urban, so industry exposure is not there. Yes course curriculum was quite useful and have had a lot to know and experience about.
Other: Visva-Bharati is known for it's cultural and social aspect. Holi (basanta utsav) and Posh Mela is one of the well known festival of this university. Frequent seminars, international seminars, field visits, picnics, Scholarship programs conducted by the University. Not only Indian, Foreigners also come here for educational purposes. Kala Bhavana, Sangeet Bhavana, Rabindra Bhavana, Path Bhavana are the attractions of Viva Bharati. Path Bhavana is for the nursery students to class 10. They have been taught on the lap of nature, under the trees. Kala Bhavana has painting, architecture, sculpture departments which can give you a jaw-dropping experience. Come and join with the Music Department of Viva-Bharati. Also pay a visit to Rabindra Bhavana-the Museum. Apart from all these occasional cultural programs has been conducted by university. Apart from.
