Every question of XAT carries 1 mark and a score of 38 to 42 usually covert into 99 percentile, so candidates should aim for the same number of correct attempts in the exam. XAT has negative marking so they should not attempt any question, if they are not sure of, otherwise it will affect the overall raw score.

Q
Quantifiers

Beginner-Level 1

Cracking XAT, CMAT, NMAT, SNAP, and IIFT isn't about one-size-fits-all preparation—it's about smart customization. As emphasized by Quantifiers, each exam has a distinct personality: XAT rewards decision-making and depth, NMAT and SNAP demand speed with accuracy, CMAT tests conceptual breadth, and IIFT focuses on logical thinking and GK. The real secret lies in strong fundamentals, mock-driven analysis, and exam-specific strategies. Quantifiers highlights that consistent practice, adaptability, and intelligent question selection—not blind attempts—are what truly separate top performers from the rest.

Yes, apart from CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA, PIBM conducts its own entrance exam called PMAT (PIBM's Online Aptitude Test). Shortlisted candidates from PMAT then appear for the Written Test, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) as part of the selection process.

Yes, giving multiple MBA entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, XAT, and MAT is generally a good idea. Most of the syllabus overlaps, so your preparation works across exams, and it reduces the risk of depending on just one test.Different exams open doors to different colleges. For example, CAT is needed for IIMs, while exams like CMAT, MAT, or NMAT are accepted by many private B-schools. Colleges such as Athena School of Management also consider multiple exams and focus on the overall profile, so having more scores gives you flexibility.Overall, multiple exams simply mean more options and backup choices, which is always helpful.
