ICAI has started the process of CA Foundation December 2022 result verification and answerbook inspection. Candidates can apply for verification and inspection by applying online. Read more.
The process of verification of marks and inspection of answer books of ICAI CA Foundation December 2022 exam has started. Candidates can apply for CA Foundation December 2022 result verification at the ICAI exam website. The window to apply for Certified Copies/Inspection and Marks Verification opened on February 4, 2023. The last date to apply for marks verification is March 2, 2023 and for copies inspection is March 4.
The ICAI CA Foundation result December 2022 was announced on February 3. About 25.29 per cent of the total candidates have been able to clear the CA Foundation exam.

Candidates can apply for mark copies inspection and marks verification simply by logging in to their ICAI accounts. Given below are the steps to follow:

- Enter examination name, registration number and rolls number
- Click on submit to go to the form and enter the following details:
- Student Name
- Student Registration No.
- Exam-Foundation
- Month and year of the exam
- Roll No.
- Paper(s)/subjects to be verified
- Address for communication
- Pay Rs 200 has fee in online mode via debit/credit card or net banking

After completing CA Final course, students can start independent practice or join an auditing firm as chartered accountant or analyst. Top job options for certified CAs are Finance Manager, Tax Manager, Certified Public Accountant, Teacher, Civil or Government Service, to name a few. The CA result, scorecard or merit list can be accessed online only. Apart from direct download via login, there is a provision to obtain CA result via email. The provision of obtaining results via email was introduced in 2022. To get result via email, candidates have to submit a request on the ICAI website as per the schedule announced by the exam authorities.
These processes have been put in place for the convenience of candidates as a soft copy of the scorecard is saved in the student dashboard and they can download it as soon as it is announced or whenever they need. Online announcement of result is quick and safe.
Candidates can download CA Foundation scorecards from ICAI website by using login credentials. Check the process to follow:
- Visit ICAI website
- Click on CA Intermediate, CA Final or CA Foundation
- Enter ICAI roll number and registration number
- Enter CAPTCHA code as displayed
- Click on 'submit' and check your CA result
Commonly asked questions
The CA Intermediate and Final exam results are announced on the same day and CA Foundation result is announced on a separate date. The CA Foundation exam results are announced a few days after the announcement of CA Intermediate and CA Final results for a particular session. For example, the CA Inter and CA Final results of May 2023 were released in July and CA Foundation result of the same session was announced in August 2023. The CA result announcement date for each course is announced by the ICAI beforehand. The announcement is made on the website and social media platforms so that students know the when to download their scorecards.
Candidates can check their results of CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final exams on the official websites of ICAI - icai.nic.in.
To check the result cum scorecard, candidates have to log in to their ICAI account. They can do so by using the login ID and password created at the time of exam form filling. Candidates can also check the merit list of any course through the same process.
If you have forgotten your login password for ICAI account, you can create a new one by visiting the eservices website and using the 'forgot password' option.

Yes, candidates will get up to 15 minutes of late entry to CA Foundation Paper 1, 2, 3, and 4. However, students are advised to reach the exam centre early to avoid getting late.

No, ICAI will not send physical admit card to any candidate for CA Foundation exam. Eligible candidates will have to download and take a print out of their admit card on their own.

There are four papers in CA Foundation exam. According to exam pattern, Paper 1 & 2 have subjective type questions, and Paper 3 & 4 have objective type questions. ICAI will only give 15 minutes advance reading time for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

There are two types of questions asked in CA Foundation exam. Paper 1 and Paper 2 have subjective type questions. Paper 3 and Paper 4 have objective type questions.
There is negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer in Paper 3 and Paper 4 only.
