NIRF Rankings 2021: IIT Roorkee best architecture college in India, leaves behind IIT Kharagpur
IIT Roorkee has become the top college for architecture with 82.65 score. NIT Calicut and IIT Kharagpur clinched the second and third positions, respectively.
As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2021 released by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan yesterday, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is the best institute for architecture in the country. It left behind IIT Kharagpur, which was the top college for architecture as per the NIRF Rankings 2020.
While the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut and IIT Kharagpur bagged the second and the third spots with 76.50 and 76.14 scores, respectively, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University, Ahmedabad, clinched the fourth and fifth positions. The complete list of Top Architecture Colleges of India can be checked on nirfindia.org. This year too, the NIRF rankings were online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rankings for all colleges and universities across the country given by the Education Ministry were based on teaching, learning, and resources; research and professional practice, graduation outcome; outreach and inclusivity; and peer perception. Along with the overall rankings, stream-wise rankings have also been released.
