UPES Dehradun offers scholarships to students as financial assistance. The university also offers freeships to provide quality education to the students from economically weaker section. In addition to this, sports scholarship is also offered to students to further strengthen the culture of sports and fitness. Apart from this, these scholarships are also offered to meritorious students based on academic performance for second year onwards.

There is a 30% concession on the total tuition fees given to the students for bonafide residents of Uttarakhand. Up to 100% scholarships are offered to students based on entrance exam scores. Candidates must note that the scholarship will be awarded in the range from 15% to 30% on tuition fees of first and second semesters only. Candidates seeking admission in 2023 at the School of Liberal Studies, UPES will get a 40% fee waiver on the first-year tuition fee for all courses as per the scholarship scheme. The Renew criteria (3rd semester onwards) for the scholarship will remain the same as per the college's existing scholarship policy. There will be no slabs and candidates meeting the basic eligibility criteria (50% in classes 12 and 10) will get a 40% scholarship on tuition fees for the first year.
