BHM at AIMS Bangalore: My Journey Towards Hotel Management
In my Class 11, I chose Science as I was always interested in Chemistry. After passing out from school as a Science student, my friend, an alumni of AIMS Bangalore, suggested me to select Hotel Management as my subject in college. Me, being uncertain about what to study after my school, I began researching on Hotel Management.
My friend praised AIMS Bangalore for its strong academics and placement record. After doing my own research, I decided to pursue BHM at AIMS Bangalore. The opportunities AIMS provides its students really caught my attention. This marked the beginning of my journey at this college.

Getting Admission
I did not appear for any particular entrance exam to get admission at this college. I got admission based on my Class 12 grades. I had to attend a telephonic interview during which I was asked few general knowledge questions.
Out of all the colleges I applied for, this was on top of my list. I did not face any major issues while getting admission here. One thing that was a challenge for me was that the college is situated far from where I live.
The BCom programme offered at AIMS Institutes has received good reviews from alumni and students in terms of infrastructure and quality of teaching. According to the verified Shiksha Reviews, students have left the following AIMS Institutes BCom reviews:
- The college infrastructure is pretty good. Though it's a small campus, it has all facilities. It has an amphitheatre where many business ideas originate
- Teachers are highly qualified and very knowledgeable
- There are many events which are celebrated both on the campus and off the campus. The most prominent one is the fest named Umang, which is a national level fest
College Life
While in college, most of my time went into attending lectures. I was mostly interested in the practical classes. I love to get practical exposure for the things I have been learning. I was a part of the Rotary club and even participated in dance competitions during my time here.
Apart from these, I also loved to take part in extracurricular activities. Playing badminton and table tennis were some things I loved doing in my free time.
Preparing for The Future
My college has helped me become more mature regarding my studies and taught me how to deal with things responsibly.
I have started thinking more logically, already considering the pros and cons before I make a decision.
When thinking of my future career, I can see that I am exposed to several opportunities, including Operations, Bartending, or even Sales and Marketing. Even if I do not find success in a particular field, I am still going to have numerous other options to go towards as a career.
I am certain that the future holds something good for me. My future goal is to start my own company one day. If things go according to my plans, I believe that I will be able to achieve this goal.
