Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (CSJMU) also known as Kanpur University is a state-funded university consisting of 170 affiliated colleges in 15 districts. The University offers UG, PG, Doctorate and Diploma programmes in numerous fields of education.

The university follows the semester exam scheme for most of the courses, these are conducted every six months. (odd semester and even semester). Odd semester exams are conducted in November-December and the results are declared in March whereas the even semester exams are conducted in April-May and the results are declared in July.

CSJM University has declared odd semester 2020 results for all the courses in the month of May on its official website. Students can go through the following steps to download their results:

Step 3: Scroll down to ‘Semester Exams’

Step 4: Click on the link of the course for which you want to check the result

Step 6: Your semester score will be shown on the screen. You can take a printout of the same for future reference

CSJM University Evaluation Process 2020

Students can check CSJM University results to know the total marks secured in the semester examination. As per the information available on multiple sources online, CSJM University follows an internal and external assessment scheme to evaluate the students at the end of each semester. Students must score a minimum of 40 per cent aggregate (internal assessment + external assessment) to pass each subject of the semester.

• Internal Assessment: The weightage of internal assessment is 30 per cent. It is based on the marks secured by a student in the sessional exams/ assignments/ seminars/ viva and attendance. Internal assessment of a project is based on its content, method of presentation, final conclusion and extempore
• External Assessment: It carries 80 per cent of weightage. The external evaluation of the semesters is on the theory examination. Also, credit is assigned to a subject based on the number of hours of teaching required for that subject

After successful completion of a semester, maximum marks secured by the student are calculated based on which the status of ‘pass/ fail’ is awarded to the student. A student is considered pass in a particular semester if the calculated aggregate is more than 40 per cent.

Students need to collect their marksheet from their respective colleges once the result is declared. The marksheet of CSJMU consists of the following information:

CSJM University Revaluation 2020

For students who are not satisfied with their results of the current semester and want revaluation can fill the CSJMU scrutiny or the revaluation challenge form to get their score car revaluated. The application for the same should be filled within one month from the date of the result declaration. First, the student needs to request for viewing the answer book by following the below-mentioned steps and then decide whether to apply for scrutiny or revaluation challenge.

• Scrutiny: CSJMU will only do re-totaling of marks. A student can apply for scrutiny only if he/ she finds any unchecked answer or a totaling error
• Revaluation challenge: Without considering previous marks, CSJMU checks the copy of the student again. A student can apply for revaluation challenge only if he/ she finds that the answer book has been wrongly evaluated. If the students’ revaluated score has more than 15 per cent hike from the initial score, the entire revaluation challenge fee paid by the student gets refunded

Step 3: Click on the suitable payment mode

Step 4: Enter the mandatory details like course, course type and your roll number

Step 5: Click on the ‘Submit’ button

Step 6: Enter your email ID and gender. Choose the subject for which you wish to see you answer book and click on ‘Submit’

Step 7: You will then receive a mail on your entered email ID with a link to complete the payment process

(On successful payment, the answer book will be made available to the student within 15 days)

Step 2: Click on ‘Online Application for Inspection of Answer Book/ Scrutiny’ button

Step 3: Click on the desired link (scrutiny/ revaluation challenge)

Step 3: Enter the mandatory details like registration number, the transaction number and bar code number of your answer book

Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ button

Step 5: Now, take a print out of the applied form for future reference

CSJM University Improvement Exam 2020

CSJM University has newly launched an ‘Improvement Exam’ scheme. Students who wish to improve their semester marks can pay the exam fee of Rs 650 and appear for the improvement exam. In case a student scores less in the improvement exam than the initial semester exam marks then the semester exam marks will be reflected in the final report card.
