According to the latest update, Class 10 or Class 12 pass students could seek admissions to various courses at the department of lifelong learning of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) until August 31, said Dr Saroj Arora, director of the department.
Mr Arora said in order to fulfil educational needs, the department conducted various programmes under the non-formal mode of education for those candidates who could not get appropriate opportunities for higher education. The Guru Nanak Dev University conducts educational programmes to adapt to the changing circumstances in the technological world.
One-year Certificate Courses at GNDU
Guru Nanak Dev University offers one-year duration courses that included courses such as certificate course in dress designing, cutting and tailoring; diploma in cosmetology; diploma in graphics and web design; diploma in computer application; diploma in fashion designing; diploma in fashion and textile design.
Six-month Certificate Courses at GNDU
The six-month certificate courses at Guru Nanak Dev University include certificate course in web designing; certificate course in beauty culture; certificate course in AutoCAD and reveat modelling; training for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); certificate course in English speaking and communication skill.

Established on November 24, 1969, in Amritsar, Punjab, Guru Nanak Dev University's campus is spread over 500 acres near the village of Kot Khalsa, nearly 8 km west of the Amritsar, next to Khalsa College, Amritsar.
