GNDU Eligibility & Selection 2025
Guru Nanak Dev University course admission is both entrance and merit-based depending on the programme selected by the students. Each aspirant must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements to be eligible for the course admission at the university. Steps for GNDU Admission Process 2025
As per the information available on the official website of the University, GNDU admission to various courses is either based on merit or an entrance exam, depending on the course selected. For admission to the BTech course, aspirants have to appear for JEE Main entrance and admission to the MBA course candidates are required to appear for the GNDU Management Entrance Test (GMET). For all courses, admission is done based on the merit secured by the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by the Head of the Department. Candidates seeking admission to GNDU courses must begin their admission process by filling out the application form before the deadline. The step-wise GNDU admission process is given in the table below:
Step 1: GNDU application process
Candidates can apply online for the preferred course. Candidates have to fill out the application form and pay the application fees before the deadline.
Step 2: GNDU Selection Process
Admission to most of the GNDU courses is entrance-based. Only for diploma-level courses, the admission criteria is merit-based. Applicants applying to BTech and MBA courses are required to appear for JEE Main and GMET, respectively, to get shortlisted for admission. Apart from BTech and MBA, the University shortlists candidates based on the entrance exam conducted by the Head of the Department.
Step 3: GNDU Merit list and Admission confirmation
After completing the selection process, GNDU releases a course-wise merit list on its official website. All the candidates, whose name is on the merit list, are required to appear for the counselling/ interview process for seat allocation and document verification process.
