The School of Arts and Design, Woxsen University has emerged as one of the most in-demand schools for design aspirants in the country. Offering four diverse specializations in Fashion, Industrial, Interior, and Communication Design, the school focuses exclusively on practical learning to ensure that students create designs that the industry seeks. Additionally, the school also puts the student through a rigorous journey of projects which include a System Design Project, a Graduation Project, and other Design Projects like simple project design, universal design, and other significant mini projects. In addition to the above B.Des (Hons.) students at Woxsen University are also expected to take up a Social Internship and Summer Internship which is mandatory for them to receive the B.Design (Hons.). Two students from the B.De (Hons.) 2024 cohort, share their internship experiences.

“ Hi, I'm Tia Cibi. I'm in my final year pursuing B.Des (Hons.) at Woxsen University. I did my graduation project as an industrial intern at a firm called Vistar Associates for four months. During my time there I was able to work on projects in different cities like Jaipur, Kochi, Hyderabad, Shillong, etc. so I was able to have more exposure to different materials and different design processes in different states and different design styles.  Of course, we worked with different concepts like Italian Tuscany, Royal Ecstasy, low-cost housing, etc. We worked on diverse projects like schools, residences, restaurants, and even pop-up designs for cafes.

Being a team of just two principal architects and three interns, it was a challenge to complete almost 15 to 20 projects at once but I think it helped me work with my time management, material selections, discussions with clients and vendors, etc. and I hope to use my experience in the future.”

“ Hi, I'm Nanditha, and I had the privilege of working at Bohim Studio in Hyderabad as part of my graduation project, and I'm thrilled to share about it. Bohem is a young and dynamic company that focuses on providing innovative design solutions to its clients. It works on residential, commercial, and hospitality designs.

The work environment was quite friendly, and the principal designer not only mentored me but also welcomed my ideas and contributions, which created an environment where I could learn and try. The theoretical knowledge that I learned at Woxsen University was put to practical tasks and work, and I'm grateful for the guidance and support that I have received from here.”
