Leaves taken by Delhi govt school guest teachers won’t be counted as working days
The department also stated that if a guest teacher is called for any official duty by the heads of their schools during summer and winter vacations, then those days will also be included in the work experience certificate
Delhi Directorate of Education made an official announcement stating that the duration of maternity or any other leave availed by guest teachers of Delhi government schools will not be taken into account while computing their working days. According to NDTV, the Directorate of Education (DoE) further added that the clarification was issued in response to queries raised on various platforms regarding the computation of working days for guest teachers working in Delhi government schools. DoE in its order said, “If a guest teacher is on maternity leave or any other kind of leave, then the days spent on such leave will not be included while computing the working days of the guest teachers.”
It further added, "If a guest teacher is on any kind of official government duty such as election duty, BLO duty, COVID duty, etc. then the days spent on such duty will be included while computing the working days of the guest teachers.” The department also stated that if a guest teacher is called for any official duty by the heads of their schools during summer and winter vacations, then those days will also be included in the work experience certificate.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government school of specialized excellence welcomes its first batch of 2200 students on September 27, 2021. Announcing the launch of the classes, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, tweeted from his official account stating, “Today we are launching the classes of Delhi Govt School of Specialized Excellence and welcoming its first batch of 2200 students. 21st century's India needs experts with special skills and mindset. These schools will set a new standard in the education system.”
On August 15, the government of Delhi launched, twenty Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) catering to students in Classes 9 to 12. All these schools, which are part of the first phase of the project, will be affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE).
