August 7, 2020: Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai is all set to commence the online classes for its PGDM batch 2020-22 from August 24. Prior to this, the institute had planned a week-long virtual orientation programme from August 10-17. The programme intends to introduce students to various faculty and staff members of the institute and give them a brief idea of their upcoming two years of journey. TSM had also invited prominent industry dignitaries such as Former Vice Chairman and Former CEO of Cognizant, Lakshmi Narayanan; N Ram from The Hindu, Chennai; Director Arvind Hospitals, Dr Arvind Srinivasan; World Chess Master, Vishwanathan Anand; Prasanath Vasu, Partner at McKinsey and Company; Founder Bharat Matrimony, Murugavel Janakiraman; and, Chairman Aparajitha Corporate Services and Board Member, Indian Bank Dr Bharath Krishna Sankar to introduce students to the corporate network of the institute. The guests talked on various inspiring and motivational topics with the students such as ‘Mindsets required for youngsters during the unprecedented disruption brought by pandemic’, ‘why failures are important to teach you success’, ‘Happiness and Success’ and ‘Building the enterprise from scratch’.

TSM Inks MoU with Malaysia’s Saito University College
January 23, 2020: Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Malaysia-based Saito University College. The MoU has been signed with an intent to give students international exposure. This will include industrial visits, joint projects, student and faculty exchange programmes. Students will be put in live projects at multinational companies which they will perform as per international standards and in turn, will learn from global corporate culture.

Outbound Training Programme at Adventure Zone
September 27, 2019: For first-year PGDM students, Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai organised a five-days Outbound Training Program at the Aventure Zone in Madhurantakam from September 20-24. The outbound training and team-building exercises exposed the students to a variety of adventurous tasks that set new physical fitness benchmarks and focused on how not to give up and push beyond borders. Our intellectual rigour was exercised by the tactical games of management to achieve specific goals as an entity, more importantly as teams. Throughout the action-packed trip, our future managers were filled with zeal and enthusiasm and came back with lots of energy, motivation and memories to cherish forever.
TSM Organises Entrepreneur Connect for Young Minds
September 25, 2019: An Entrepreneur Connect event was organised on the annual day celebration of Young Entrepreneur School (YES) Madurai Chapter. YES is an Entrepreneur Development Forum of Tamil Nadu Chamber Foundation which provides a platform to young entrepreneurs to showcase their business skills, enhance their knowledge, develop a positive perspective and learn the newest in world business practices to attain success professionally and in person.
TSM Madurai Principal Dr M Selvalakshmi, Assistant Professor Dr Janarthanan B and Associate Professor Dr Manjula Nagarajan were invited as judges for this connect. Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai supports YES Entrepreneurs with market research, product brainstorming, product launch, targeted sales promotions and recommends trade best practices. Institute also actively strengthens the trade - Institute partnership to supply TSM students a learning scheme with sensible trade exposure, internships, placements and even launch their entrepreneurial ventures.
One more achievement in TSM’s history
September 21, 2019: Students of Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM) participated in Pragyaan, a management fest hosted by Sastra University, Tanjore on September 20. TSM students won the championship and emerged victorious by contesting in numerous programmes that witnessed a participation of over 200 students from 20 management institutes.
