February 18, 2020: Sikkim Manipal University invited Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad to inaugurate Atal Incubation Centre-Sikkim Manipal University Technology Business Incubator (AIC-SMUTBI). The event was also attended by dignitaries of Government of India and other guests who were invited for this event. AIC-SMUTBI is the first AIC in the entire region of the Northeast and one of India's 100 world-class incubators

SMU Inaugurates Technology Business Incubator

February 18, 2020: Sikkim Manipal University invited Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad to inaugurate Atal Incubation Centre-Sikkim Manipal University Technology Business Incubator (AIC-SMUTBI). The event was also attended by dignitaries of Government of India and other guests who were invited for this event. AIC-SMUTBI is the first AIC in the entire region of the Northeast and one of India's 100 world-class incubators.

NITI Aayog helps entrepreneurs and founders build a start up environment. There are currently 14 start-ups in AIC-SMUTBI incubated from across north-eastern India.

SMIT Organises Marathon 2020

February 4, 2020: Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) organised a 14-km and 5-km marathons on February 2. The theme of the event was ‘Run for Healthy Body and Mind’. Institute invited Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Kunga Nima Lepcha as the chief guest of the event to flag off the marathon. The event witnessed active participation of over 280 runners across Sikkim and other states.

No, students cannot apply offline at SMIT. The application process is conducted in online mode. Students must register through the official portal ofthe institute and fill the application form. Students must complete and pay application fees through the website.

SMIT Sikkim offers financial assistance to students. SMIT scholarships are based on academic performance, entrance exam ranks, financial need, alumni or sibling connections. Special categories, like single mothers, divyang students, and state toppers are also considered.

SMIT BCA fees is INR 1.16 Lacs for an academic year. SMIT fee structure inlcudes many components. The total fees may differ at the time of final payment due to the variables of the fee structure.

So far, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has not released any last date of admission. Students can apply as long as the admissions are open. To know more, students can go to the official site of the institute.

As per the details available in the official website, the institute will conductthree separate rounds of counselling for SMIT, JEE Main and MET candidates. The schedule for the counselling for all three rounds will be announced soon.

The schedule for SMIT counselling is yet to be announced. As per the previous year dates, the counselling is likely to be held in May and June. The exact dates will be announced soon and the same will be updated at this page.

No, there is no fees to participate in SMIT counselling. All qualified candidates will be called for the counselling and seats will be allotted basis their score in the exam. Candidates will have to pay the admission fees once the seat is allotted.
