TAPMI Offers Dr Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship to Students
T.A. Pai Management Institute(TAPMI) recently offered nearly 50 students with various types of scholarships worth Rs 2.5 crore. Some of the students who have been offered scholarship based on their merit or weak financial background include Neeraj Kumar, Rushi Shah, Ansu Joseph, Apoorva Dattaram Shinde and Kritika Agarwal.
TAPMI offers four types of scholarships to students. These are
Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship (Category I): This category has 20 scholarships. The eligibility for this category is 95 percentile and above in Common Admission Test/Xavier’s Admission Test (CAT/XAT). Candidates with a score of 730 and above in Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) are also eligible. The candidates will be granted 30 per cent waiver of total tuition fee.
Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship (Category II): There are 10 scholarships in this category. The eligibility for this category is 90 percentile and above in CAT/XAT. Moreover, the candidate’s family gross income (before tax) should be below Rs 10 lakh. The candidates will be granted 50 per cent waiver of total tuition fee.
Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarship (Category III): This category also has 10 scholarships. The candidate’s family gross income (before tax) should be below Rs 7 lakh. There is no need for CAT/XAT score. The candidates will be granted 50 per cent waiver of total tuition fee.
Dean’s Roll of Honour: This also has 10 scholarships. This is offered to top 10 performers of the batch. The candidates will be granted fee waiver of Rs 2 lakh each.
Apart from scholarships, TAPMI provides financial assistance by offering educational loan support to students. It has tie-ups with many banks including Syndicate Bank, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, and Axis Bank. A loan amount of Rs 20 lakh with a maximum time period of 15 years can be sanctioned to a student. The interest rate varies ranging from 8.45 per cent to 10.50 per cent, depending upon the bank.
