The Hospitality Management industry is growing tremendously in the present times due to its diverse nature of work and growing demand in the industry. There are more and more number of colleges offering Hospitality Management courses and therefore the number of students are also growing rapidly. The Hospitality Management industry is growing very fast in contemporary times and therefore it seems to be a very promising career choice. However, there are some specific reasons why this is a promising career choice over other options available to a student. Some of them are discussed below:

Firstly, this industry provides flexible working nature and various travelling options for the people associated with the industry and the hospitality work.  In the contemporary times when the stress and work pressure is growing increasingly, anybody will prefer to seek a working environment that offers less stress, a flexible working environment and travelling opportunities. Some of the basic needs of a particular worker are flexibility in the working environment and travelling options. It is evident from the theory of Maslow where he discussed the hierarchy of needs of a particular worker working in an organisation. He enunciates that there are five basic needs of a particular individual walking in an organisation therefore Physiological needs, Safety needs, Love or Belongingness needs, Esteem needs and Self-actualisation needs. These are the five proven hierarchy of needs that was put forward by Maslow in his theory. These five needs are said to be fulfilled by the hospitality industry. The hospitality industry offers flexible job options which satisfy most of the needs mentioned in the hierarchy of needs mentioned by my Maslow. Therefore for long term stable career choice, Hospitality Management seems to be the perfect choice for an individual.

Some of the basic needs of a particular worker are flexibility in the working environment and travelling options. It is evident from the theory of Maslow where he discussed the hierarchy of needs of a particular worker working in an organisation.

Secondly, it also offers diverse options to a particular person even within the hospitality society. in the digital era, diversity in the Working environment isn’t an initial component. A particular individual would require diverse nature of walks in order to satisfy their Self-actualisation and Motivational needs. Therefore any individual would prefer diversified options which are available in a particular career choice. For example, the Hospitality Management industry offers diverse types of nature of works for example, it offers kitchen area work, front desk management works, customer handling works, management works and administration works as well. Therefore, it can be said that the Hospitality Management industry is a type of industry that offers various diverse nature of work to the people associated with the industry.

A particular individual would require diverse nature of walks in order to satisfy their Self-actualisation and Motivational needs. Therefore any individual would prefer diversified options which are available in a particular career choice.

Thirdly, it further provides the basic necessities of career stability and growth. As already mentioned earlier the hierarchy of needs put forward by Maslow represents the basic needs of an individual working in an organisation. Therefore, it can be said that career stability and career growth are the two most important components of an individuals career choice. This stability and growth are offered by the hospitality industry.

The hospitality industry also offers a handsome salary and extra bonuses.  Any individual will want to seek a career option that provides a lump sum amount of money and offers extra bonuses for the individual. Therefore, the hospitality industry seems to be one of the best choices for students.

As regards, the Hospitality Management industry is the most rapidly growing industry and providing various diverse opportunities for the people associated with the industry. This is why it is important to opt for this as a career path.
