Why should you be heading for a career in Animation?
Animation and its types
Animation is a method in which pictures are manipulated to appear as moving images. Images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film, in traditional animation. Today, most animations are made with computer-generated imagery called CGI. Computer animation can be in the form of 3D animation and 2D computer animation and can be used for stylistic animation. Animation has been with us for a few decades now, the concept of animation still seems pretty much exceptional to the layman. 2D is in the form of a painting, and 3D is the form of a sculpture. 3D introduces “depth perspective,” so we not only see a rectangle (2D) but a CUBE (3D). 3D animation has more of its roots in stop-motion animation than in traditional hand-drawn 2D animation. The stop-motion film techniques have been in use very well right from the beginning, they have actually been around since the very early days of filmmaking in the late 19th century.
The mechanical manipulation of puppets and objects to reproduce living beings has a very long history. In 1937, Disney released their first animated feature film ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. It was a tremendous success worldwide from where the animation era started. Some of the animated movies that have been created nowadays like Toy Story, Wall-e, Monster.Inc, Trolls, Tinker Bell and many more are way beyond our imagination and the list of such movies is a huge list of such movies is huge.
Scope of Animation
Animation is more prevalent than many people realise. Apart from short films, feature films, animated GIFs and other media dedicated to the display of moving images, animation is also heavily used for video games, motion graphics and special effects in movies and Television serials, it has also been very popular in television commercials, due to its graphical appearance, and the humour it can provide. There is a huge demand in the animation industry for aspiring artists and a constantly increasing need and demand for trained and certified professionals to create content for the projects which are available through national and international markets. There are thousands of job opportunities available in today’s time in the Media and Entertainment industry
