Q:   Which is the official website to check CBSE result?
A:

Students can check the CBSE result 2026 on the official websites- results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, cbse.nic.in. They will need to enter their roll number and other details as mentioned in the CBSE admit card 2026 to check their result.

Q:   How do I calculate the CBSE class 10 marks in 2025?
A:

The CBSE uses a grading system that reflects the marks achieved in every subject. This system usually features grades ranging from A1 to E, with A1 representing the highest grade.

Each subject is assigned different marks, typically 100 for core subjects. For practical subjects, the marks may be distributed differently, such as 80 for theory and 20 for practical

.3. Calculate Total Marks.

Add the marks obtained in all subjects.

Example:

Subject 1: 85

Subject 2: 90

Subject 3: 75

Subject 4: 80

Subject 5: 95

Subject 6 (optional): 88

Total = 85 + 90 + 75 + 80 + 95 + 88 = 513

4. Convert to Percentage

To calculate the percentage, divide the total marks by the maximum possible marks and multiply by 100.

Example:

Total Marks = 513

Maximum Marks = 600 (assuming six subjects with 100 each)

Percentage = (513 / 600) * 100 = 85.5%

5. CGPA Calculation (if applicable)

CBSE may also provide a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system.

To calculate CGPA:

Convert the grades of each subject to grade points.

Average the grade points.

Example:

A1 = 10, A2 = 9, B1 = 8, B2 = 7, etc.

Total Grade Points = (10 + 9 + 8 + 8 + 9) = 54

CGPA = Total Grade Points / Number of Subjects

CGPA = 54 / 5 = 10.8

Q:   What if I fail in one subject in CBSE class 12?
A:

In case you are unable to obtain 33 percent marks in one subject in CBSE 12th, you will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams for the same subject. The CBSE 12th compartment exams are held in June/July. This is a second chance to save your academic year.

Students are advised to finish the CBSE 12th syllabus and know the exam pattern well. they must also solve and practice the previous year's question papers to know the types of questions asked in the exam. With focus, students can easily obtain the minimum passing marks.

Q:   I got essential repeat in class 12th CBSE board this year. What should I do now?
A:
If you received an "essential repeat" or a compartment result in Class 12th CBSE board exams, it means that you did not pass one or more subjects and will need to appear for a reexamination. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Understand the requirements: Review your mark sheet and determine which subject (s) you need to reappear for. Make sure you understand the specific requirements and conditions set by the CBSE board for the reexamination. 2. Prepare for the reexamination: Focus on studying and preparing for the subjects you need to reappear in. Identify your weak areas and create a study plan to improve your understanding and performance. Seek help from teachers, tutors, or classmates if needed. Utilize textbooks, reference materials, online resources, and previous question papers to aid your preparation. 3. Register for the reexamination: Keep an eye out for notifications or announcements from your school or the CBSE board regarding the registration process and examination dates for the reexamination. Contact your school administration or examination coordinator for guidance on the registration process and any associated fees. 4. Seek guidance and support: Reach out to your teachers, school counselors, or mentors for guidance and support during your preparation. They can provide valuable insights, study tips, and resources to help you improve your performance. 5. Stay motivated and focused: It's important to maintain a positive mindset, stay motivated, and remain focused on your studies. Believe in your abilities and work hard to improve your understanding of the subjects you need to reappear in. 6. Utilize additional resources: Consider attending coaching classes or seeking extra support, such as private tutoring, if you feel it would be beneficial for your preparation. Online platforms and educational apps can also provide supplementary study materials and practice tests. Remember, an essential repeat is an opportunity for you to improve your performance and pass the subjects you did not clear initially. Stay dedicated, seek assistance when needed, and put in your best effort to succeed in the reexamination.

Commonly asked questions
Q:   How many subjects should be included while calculating class 12th CBSE board percentage?
A:
In aggregate, all five subjects' marks are calculated. If you want admission in a particular field in a particular college then maybe they will check your score in 4 subjects (English + 3 Subjects of Commerce or Science). Also, if you have Physical Education and some good awards(State or National) with you then you can be admitted through Sports Quota based on your performance in Sports. All the best.
Q:   How to calculate CBSE percentage of best 5 subjects?
A:

You must add up the marks of the five main subjects you appeared for in the exam. Then divide the number by 500 andmultiply the result by 100. You will get the percentage.

Pls note that you need not consider the optional subject while calculating your percentage.

The information related to the marks and grades is provided on the online result. Students must verify their marks on the original mark sheet too soon after they receive it.
