Human Resource and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology work in collaboration, when it comes to implementation. The solutions are likely to require insights derived from fields beyond computer science, which means programmers will have to learn to collaborate more often with experts in other domains. Automation equipped with artificial intelligence is everywhere such as ATMs, Email replies, E-transactions and Alexa. Our high-tech organisations are more competent when it comes to technology and almost all domains are using and exploiting it wisely. AI tools are also automating common HR tasks such as people management, handling common questions and requests of the resources employed.
Automation is fun-loving technology, which we all would like to work on, but Automation in HR is a big question.

Some of the doubts that can creep in the minds of HR resources or HR aspirants can be: what will happen to our jobs, if robots will do everything, what will I do, why the organisations would hire me, will I be able to justify my profession and many more questions of this sort. Let’s check out the complete insight.
Firstly, Artificial intelligence in human resource domain is not that harmful or dangerous as it may appear in the first glance. Hence, there is no need to worry about it. Artificial intelligence is a helping hand for HR professionals. It is definitely worth knowing about. Just imagine a robot answering your queries or AI-driven bots conducting video interviews for your placements. There is even a term called ‘AI recruiters’ that helps to automate things such as scheduling interviews, provide ongoing feedback to candidates and answer their questions in real-time. Do you know, Artificial intelligence observes 1,500 expressions during an interview? If any of us feel the need to talk with HR, we can raise a ticket and it will be resolved in hours. Isn’t it perfect?
AI allows human recruiters to spend more time interacting with the prospective candidates, which substantially translates to better hiring communication and helps in attracting a more diverse group of candidates.
However, there is human intervention nevertheless — Humans create these AI-enabled robots. We have to upskill and enhance our talent so that we can direct the robots or chatbots to work efficiently. So, one thing is clear that human intervention cannot be diminished when it comes to HR.
We, the humans are genetically biased and the favouritism is always seen in organisations, especially when it comes to HR. The bias can be due to liking towards a certain group of employees.
Artificial Intelligence is considered a big relief when it comes to curb biasness. It has immensely benefitted the sectors where it can list out areas where the employee is lacking based on the performance metrics. The artificial intelligence can also predict the attrition rate, which empowers human personnel to look into the important areas, especially those that require more attention of humans.
The automation of tasks through AI technology allows HR professionals to focus on the areas where human abilities work wonders such as critical thinking, creativity, sympathy and empathy. AI technology works only after we tell them the first few steps. In short, they are the ‘drivers of education’.
As much as the HR technology continues to be influenced by AI, HR professionals and teams must find different ways to balance these advancements with adequate transparency. It is essential for HRs to make sure the implementation of AI is successful. It must be seen as a helping tool and nothing more.
