Q:   Is there any exam for HSTES?
A: 

Yes. The admissions to Diploma courses are made based on inter-se-merit of qualifying examination. HSTES also conducts state-level Online Common Entrance Test (OCET) for admission to the BPharmacy course. The admissions to BE/BTech courses are made based on the All India Rank of JEE Mains conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admissions to the BArch course are made based on rank obtained in NATA conducted by COA and JEE Main paper part II conducted by NTA.

Q:   What after the submission of the online HSTES counselling application form?
A: 

After candidates successfully submit the HSTES application form, they must undergo a document verification process. BPharm candidates, however, need to first qualify in the Online Common Entrance Test (OCET).

To participate in the centralized online HSTES counseling, candidates are required to upload their certificates and documents on the website by the specified key dates. A merit list will be published based on qualifying exam marks for all candidates, except those in the BE/BTech course. Only those whose documents are successfully verified will be included in this merit list. Based on their ranks, candidates can then fill in their choices during the HSTES counseling.

Seats will be allotted according to the candidates' inter-se merit rank, category, and the choices they have filled. Only candidates whose names appear on the HSTES merit list can participate in the choice filling process.

Q:   Do I need JEE Main scores for HSTES BTech LE (Lateral Entry) admission?
A: 

No. The admission to HSTES BTech LE (Lateral Entry) course is based on rank/inter-se merit to be prepared by HSTES from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Qualifying exam includes diploma examination in any branch of Engg. & Tech. or a BSc degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC.

Q:   What will be the process for paying the HSTES application fee?
A: 

In the HSTES application procedure, fee payment is the last step where a candidate has to pay the requisite application fee. The candidate can make payment of the application fee via E-challan, Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net banking. Check below for fee details:

For General Category : Application Fee (INR 1000)

For HGST, TFW, EWS and KM categories: Application Fee (INR 700)

Q:   Does one need to give an entrance exam for admission to B.Tech at YMCA?
A: 
YMCA University of Science and Technology accepts the JEE Mains/LEET entrance exam scores for admission to Bachelor of Technology. Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subject and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship with 50% marks in the above subject taken together from any recognised Board/council. 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category. Candidate who have passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector can also apply. or Candidate who have passed minimum 3 years Diploma Examination with at least 45% marks can also apply. 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category.

Q:   What certificates has to be produced by the candidates of reserved category in HSTES counselling?
A: 

Candidates have to produce the following certificates to claim reservation in HSTES counslling:

  1. Scheduled Caste (SC) Certificate, Deprived Schedule Caste (SCD) certificate, Backward Class Certificate (BCA or BCB), if applicable and creamy layer / annual parental income certificate as per No. 40/13/2024-1SW and should be matched/verified from their PPP ID and a certificate of BC Category issued by the competent authority.
  2. Certificate in respect of Divyang (PH) Candidates as per as per the PPP ID of the candidate.
  3. Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters.
  4. Certificate from wards of Deceased/ Disabled/ Discharged Military/ Para Military Personnel/ Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of Para-Military Forces.
  5. Certificate from wards of ex-employees of Indian Defense Services/ Para Military Forces.
Q:   I have passed class 12 exam with 50% aggregate marks, do I still need JEE Main score for HSTES counselling for BTech admission?
A: 

Yes. JEE Main rank is mandatory for admission to BTech courses via the HSTES counselling. The BTech seats via HSTES counselling is allotted to the candidates based on JEE Main scores only however, candidates also need a minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in class 12.

Q:   What entrance exam scores does Dronacharya College of Engineering accept for admission to B.Tech?
A: 

Candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% in the JEE Mains to be considered for admission. Admission forms are available in their site which require JEE application number and rank details.For B.Tech admission, the institute prepares a merit list of eligible applicants with a valid JEE Main result. The Final Admission to Dronacharya Group of Institutions  is offered on the Basis of JEE Mains Ranks of the Candidates Followed by UPTAC .

However, for most of the seats, JEE Mains is required for admission to the B.Tech programme at PIET.
