A candidate should pass a 10+2 examination from a recognised board in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biotechnology or subjects.
Diploma in Engineering holders can also apply for HSTES B.Tech. admission under the Lateral Entry scheme. Candidates must have at least 45% marks in Class 12 or Diploma in Engineering.
