The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech/BE/B.Sc Engineering) is a degree awarded by universities to students who have completed four years (eight semesters) worth of coursework related to a specific branch of engineering. Most colleges operate on semester basis i.e each year corresponds to two semesters. Eligibility for entry is 10+2 years of school education. Generally the first year (first two semesters) is common to all branches, and has the same subjects of study. Courses divert after first year. The medium of instruction and examination is English and IES is affiliated to RGPV university. IES offers engineering in various branches like: computer science, civil, fire technology, electronics and telecommunication, electrical engineering, chemical engineering. Including all the streams in BTech the number of seats available are around 1700-1800.

The eligibility criteria for LNCT University BTech CSE course is that candidates should have passed Class 12 with PCM from a recognised board. The AKS University accepts more than 890 students for all the B.Tech courses. Computer Science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, and agricultural engineering are just a few of the specialisations in which AKS University provides B.Tech degrees. The intake capacity may vary for each specialisation. 120–240 is the seat intake range for CSE, ECE, and EEE. There will be between 60 and 80 for other specialties.
