Internship in JIMS Vasant Kunj is an integral part of the curriculum. For all the students an internship for four to six weeks is mandatory during the period of summer vacation from June to July. JIMS VK has a placement cell that provides both internships as well as placement opportunities to all the students, headed by corporate professionals. The cell offers to conduct mock interviews & help students to perform well in the interview. The cell invites reputed companies to visit the college for recruitment. The cell has established a great network with multinational organisations to make sure that the students will get internships as well as placement opportunities in good companies. JIMS Vasant Kunj Placement Cell has a crucial role in arranging internship opportunities for all the students and on & off-campus interviews for the students with the companies.

For BA(JMC) & BCA programs, there are ample live projects & internships available that interest students. Most of the students get job offers after the completion of the internship from the company itself or they can even apply to the same organisation after their graduation. The college provides various types of internships depending upon the subjects available in the course. Further, students can apply for internships in whatever subject they are interested in & gain experience to enhance their skills.

The college provides internships in known companies that allow interns to make connections in the company with recruiters, managers & industry professionals. The internships help the students to build their presence in the company by showcasing their talent & turn the internship into full-time employment opportunities. It provides an overview of the job so that students can learn as much as they can from internships or can try multiple internships to find the best for them. JIMS VK makes sure that all the students get internships with the help of a placement cell, and also welcomes the student to use their own connections in getting internships.

There are a few fields where internships are hard to get since there are so many students who want to do internships in particular fields, but the opportunities are limited. Usually, the institute gets more internship opportunities than the job offers after graduation. For BBA, Wipro, Calvin Klein, Google, HCL & Yakult among others and for BA(JMC), the students get placed in big media houses like India Today Group, Times Internet, Indian  Express, ANI and in Public Relations Agencies, Advertising Agency, Digital Marketing, Photography & video editing among others. For the BCA program, the students get internship opportunities in Android Development, Data Science, IBM, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, and other companies.

Stipend

The criteria for stipend depend on the internship that the student is willing to do. There are both paid & unpaid opportunities. In all the courses, the maximum amount for the stipend varies between INR 12,000 and INR 25,000 & minimum amount is INR 3000 per month. Sometimes the top & reputed companies hire unpaid interns, but the amount of experience gained by the students is commendable.
