Jagannath International Management School was established in 2003, located in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. The college is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. JIMS VK is among the top colleges of the GGSIPU offering undergraduate-level programs.

Departments in JIMS VK

JIMS VK has three departments- IT, Management, and Media & Communication Studies, all the programs offered under three departments run in two shifts- morning & evening.

Department of Information Technology

The IT department was established in 2006 offering BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application). BCA is a three-year degree, aimed to connect with speedy developments in the field of IT. The program is divided into six semesters, the subjects included in the course are database management, core programming using JAVA, PHP, Oracle, object-oriented programming networking, etc.

The program aims to provide the required expertise to the students & prepare them for various fields of computer applications including the latest innovations & development in the IT industry. The students who want to pursue MCA or go for better options in the industry can apply for BCA. 

BCA is designed to bridge the gap between educational institutes & IT industries by facilitating upgraded developments in the syllabus.

Eligibility Criteria-  Minimum 50% aggregate in Class 12 along with English, Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Data Management Application/ Web Application/ Computer Application as compulsory subjects & must qualify for the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test for the BCA program as per the rules & regulations of the University. Or a three-year Diploma in Engineering from polytechnic approved by AICTE & affiliated to the recognised body with a minimum 50% aggregate.

Department of Management

The Department of Management was established in 2006 and offers a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program. BBA is a three-year degree, that aims to provide core competency in important areas of business management. The program covers all the important areas of the business like analysing problems, communication, decisions making, presentations & developing a comprehensive view of various areas of business. 

BBA provides knowledge & training in management & leadership to prepare students for managerial roles & entrepreneurship. JIMS VK is among the top colleges of GGSIPU offering the BBA program

Eligibility Criteria-  Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as a compulsory subject. The candidate must qualify the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test for the BCA program as per the rules & regulations of the University.

Department of Media & Communication Studies

The Department of Media & Communication Studies was established in 2003 and offers a BA(JMC) program. Before 2016, the program was named BJMC but after that, it was revised & the course was termed BA(JMC). Also, the department has its own Community Radio Station at 90.4 M Hz frequency.

Eligibility Criteria- Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as a compulsory subject. The candidate must qualify the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test for the program as per the rules & regulations of the University.
