Mystory@Manisha Thapa: How I chose my course and college
I have completed my Class 12 from Commerce stream. After completing my Class 12, I was very confused about where I should take admission. It was then that someone told me about an institute which was located in my town. I joined the institute and also attended classes regularly for BBA course. But the style of teaching in the institute was very different for me. In the institute we were given notes online and our teachers were not even physically present in the class, usually the teachers delivered lectures from another state only. Since I was a fresh pass out from school, this type of teaching methodology was new to me. For three months I tried to grasp the subjects taught without a teacher. Then, one day I got to know that the institute was fake and was going to shut down. I was distressed and I had already deposited my fee also. I was so scared because I had taken admission in this institute without my parent’s permission. I got tensed about my future.
Then one day while travelling by bus I was sitting on the window side and I read a banner of a college by the name Uttaranchal College of Science & Technology (UCST). This college was near my house but somehow I always used to think that local students were not offered admission here.
So, the very next day I went to the college and met their admission counsellor. She was very sweet and kind. I told her the entire story about the fake institute. She heard it patiently and after that in a very polite manner started telling me about UCST College, its rules and regulations and she even took me on a tour of the college. After that I took admission at the college.
Now, I feel really good that I took admission at such a nice college which has helped me shape my life and career.

I have completed my BBA from Uttaranchal College of Science & Technology with 70% aggregate marks. I have also done a one year Modern Office Management Course. Currently, I am preparing for Services Selection Board (SSB). My hobbies include listening to music and visiting new places.
