According to the official proposal draft, CBSE 10th Board Exam 2026 will be conducted in two phases. CBSE 10th Board Exam 2026 first phase will be conducted from February 17 to March 11, 2026, and the CBSE Class 10 Exam 2026 second phase from May 5 to May 20, 2026.

Yes, Education Ministry of India announced that the CBSE 10th Board exams 2026 are to be conducted twice in a year. It is mandatory to appear for the first phase. The second phase in May is optional for students, and those who wish to improve their marks in Science, maths, SST and Languages can appear for them.
The Board gives grace marks of upto 3 to students who are unable to secure the passing marks.
Students are advised to go through the CBSE 12th syllabus 2026 and study thoroughly for their exams. This way, they will definitely clear exams (by getting 33 marks) easily and will not need grace marks.
CBSE 10th Date Sheet 2026 Phase 2
CBSE 10th phase 2 exams 2026 are optional for students. In case they wish to improve their performance in certain subject(s) in the Phase 1 exam, they can appear for the Phase 2 exams. They will have the right to retain their best scores. CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 exams will tentatively begin on May 15, 2026 with Maths subject and conclude on June 1, 2026 with a compartment exam.
