It is equally important for every student to understand the fundamental concepts and the topics to be covered.
  • Go through the referral: After understanding the basic concepts, the students can check out other reference resources to gain a deeper understanding of the particular topic. Choosing the right books and online portals is very important while preparing for board exams. It will help to gain an in-depth understanding of each chapter.
  • Make a study plan: To prepare for board exams, the students should set daily, weekly, and monthly targets to complete the syllabus on time. Allot time to cover all the topics and separate time for the weak topics.
  • Do not miss the class and laboratory experiments: To be aware of all concepts, the students should attend their classes and laboratory experiments regularly. The practical classes/ experiments help to clear the concepts and ensure a deeper understanding of the subject.
  • Practice reasoning based questions: In the board exams, the reasoning-based questions are asked to know the students’ understanding of concepts. Therefore, the students should practice such questions regularly. Also, the previous years’ questions would give an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam.
  • Study the notes: Rather reading the course book over and over again, the students can save their time by making notes of each chapter and use these notes to prepare for the exams. These short notes would help to learn in a more concise way.
  • Self-evaluation: In other words, students should give a pre-board examination after covering all the topics and revising them thoroughly to evaluate their performance. Self-examine the answers and identify the strengths and weaknesses. Self-analysis will help in working on the weak areas. Once you appear in your pre-board examinations, practice previous years’ questions as much as you can.
  • Don't forget the numerical: The students must give at least half an hour and practise five to six numerical questions regularly. With this, the students can also go through the fundamentals. To solve the questions confidently and without any silly mistakes, the formulae and equations should be on the fingertips of every student. Regular practice also enhances speed and accuracy which boosts confidence to tackle all types of numerical questions effortlessly.
  • Write answers in points: To write the descriptive answers, the students must give enough points and illustrations. Giving pictorial illustrations is a better way to answer such questions. Also, the student should not waste their precious time on those questions that they are not sure about.
  • Thorough revision: After completing the preparation, revise the syllabus several times. Focus on clearing the concepts rather than just mugging up the topics. The students should give equal importance to each chapter and learn in a planned way.
