Students can check the number of questions for different subjects, marking scheme, total marks and duration in the CG Board 12th exam pattern 2026.

The exam is held for 100 marks and the exam duration is three hours

  • The maximum marks for a subject are 100 including Theory and Practical
  • 30 marks are allotted for practical and internal assessments
  • It is necessary to secure minimum passing marks in five subjects
  • Both sectional and aggregate marks be at least 33% to pass the exam
  • The duration of each exam is 3 hours
  • Language paper of CG Board 12th carries 100 marks in total while science subjects like biology, physics etc have a theory paper of 70 marks and a practical exam of 30 marks
  • The subjects like accountancy, and economics also have a theory paper of 80 marks and 20 marks are kept for internal assessment

The CGBSE 12th exam 2025 will be held for 3 hours. The maximum marks for a subject are 100 including Theory and Practical. 30 marks are allotted for practical and internal assessments. No, there is no negative marking in the CGBSE exams. Students receive one mark for each correct answer for objective type questions. There are no penalties for wrong answers, encouraging students to attempt all questions confidently.
