Top Ten Preparation Tips for JKBOSE Class 12 Biology
The students should formulate a plan to understand the basic concepts and secure a high score in the exam. The important tips for students to prepare for JKBOSE Class 12 Physics examination are given below:
- Maintain a regular flow in the study - Many students try to mug up before the exam. This will lead to fatigue and mental stress. The students should follow a study timetable and study daily. Avoid taking the stress and try to complete every topic timely.
- Stick to the syllabus - The students must understand the syllabus before commencing the prepartion. While beginning a chapter, mark the topics which are excluded from the syllabus. This will help in learning only the important topics and saving time.
- Manage time effectively - Proper time management is very important during the board exams as there are several topics and sub-topics in a subject. Make a study schedule from the very beginning and adhere to it. Try to cover all the topics within the time defined for particular topics to manage the time effectively.
- Make a separate notebook for diagrams and flowcharts - In Biology, there are several diagrams and flowcharts in each chapter. Thus, the students should make a separate notebook of all the diagrams and flowchart chapter-wise and go through the same regularly. This will help in revising the important diagrams with labelling during the revision.
- Make notes - Preparing short notes is a time-saving and effective strategy. The students should make handwritten notes learn the important topics easily. While preparing notes, the students can use several techniques such as using different colour sketch pens, writing things in the form of a flowchart and so on. This will help in memorising the facts easily.
- Practise diagrams - To score high in Biology, the students must practise the important diagrams with the labelling frequently as sometimes direct questions are asked related to diagrams. The diagrams carry considerable weightage, therefore, the students should make the diagrams neatly with a pencil for correction in the exam to score well in the subject.
- Practise previous year question papers - Several questions are directly asked from JKBOSE 12th previous year question papers every year. Therefore, the students must focus on practising at least the previous ten years question papers during the preparation. This will help in getting acquainted with the pattern of question. While practising, mark the questions that are repeated more than twice and revise these topics thoroughly.
- Avoid multiple reference books - The students should not refer to different guides and reference books. The textbooks prescribed by the JKBOSE should be referred to cover the syllabus. After completing these books, the students can refer to the other reference books from various authors to get an edge over other students.
- Give regular mock tests -The students should always keep in mind that “Practise makes a man perfect”. They should take out some time to give mock tests frequently. This will help with the topics where they are lagging. The chapter-wise test is beneficial for an in-depth analysis of the preparation. The students can also practise extra questions from the guides regularly.
- Take out time for self- study - The students must make three to four hours for self- study daily. During this period, go through all the topics that were covered during school and tuition once on a particular day.
