As per revised norms, J&K Board students are required to score a minimum of 36 marks out of 100 in each subject, including theory and internal, practicals.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released detail regarding Class 10 and 12 pass marks and assessment scheme, and has also opened the re-evaluation and photocopy window for Class 10 exams. The application window will remain active from October 30 to November 5, 2025, through jkbose.nic.in.

According to official notice issued, updated pass mark structure applies to Class 10 and 12 Annual Regular (Octโ€“Nov) 2025 session for Kashmir Division/Winter Zone of Jammu Division, and the (Febโ€“March) 2026 session for Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

The detailed subject-wise mark distribution has been shared on jkbose.nic.in. As per the revised norms, students are required to score a minimum of 36 marks out of 100 in each subject, including theory and internal/practical components. The notification lists marks distribution for subjects across Arts, Science, Commerce, and Home Science streams.

In a separate update, JKBOSE has opened the online link for re-evaluation and photocopy applications for the Class 10 Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual 2025 exams. Application window will remain open from October 30 to November 5, 2025, on jkbose.nic.in.

The fee for re-evaluation is โ‚น550 per subject, while โ‚น285 per subject is charged for obtaining photocopies. Fees can be paid online via debit/credit cards, UPI, or net banking.

 

JKBOSE in its notice said photocopy collection notices will be issued online in phases, and students must collect their copies as per the uploaded schedule. The board clarified that students whose exams were cancelled or disqualified are not eligible to apply.

 

Q: ย  What are the minimum marks to clear JKBOSE class 10 exams?
A:

Students need to score a minimum of 36% marks for clearing JKBOSE class 10 exams. However, if their preparation is on point and if they are thorough with the JKBOSE 10th syllabus 2025, they need not worry about the passing marks. They will definitely ace the examinations. 

Students are suggested to solve and practice the JKBOSE 10th sample papers 2025 and previous years question papers to get familiar with the exam pattern, different types of questions asked in the exam and more.
