JKBOSE Class 12 Preparation Tips 2025

Given below are some preparation tips which the students can follow to prepare for the examinations:

  • Preparing a schedule and following it

This is one of the most important practices for the preparation of any exam. Based on the level of proficiency in each subject, a detailed study plan should be prepared, focusing more on the subjects that need to be worked on. This study plan should be followed meticulously. It is of utmost importance that the entire JKBOSE 12th syllabus is completed well beforehand so that there is ample amount of time for revision.

  • Importance of writing and practicing

Rather than just reading and memorizing, writing it down helps remember the topics for a long time. This practice will ensure that one remembers the concepts not only during exams but also long after them.

  • Understanding the concept

An extension of the previous point is to understand and learn instead of just mugging up. This also ensures long-lasting memory and enables a candidate to express their answers in their own words rather than the language used in textbooks.

  • Remaining stress-free

Studies have suggested that stress is the leading cause of poor performance in exams despite being well prepared. Stress would only make things worse. It is very important to remain calm, may it be during the exam or during the preparation.

  • Be Calm

Meditation and deep breathing help in staying calm. These simple exercises can help focus just before the exam.

  • For Physics

Making a list of formulae, derivations, and experiments and revising them can help students remember them. Solving previous years’ question papers and sample papers also helps.

  • For Chemistry

Practicing the chemical equations and formulae repeatedly would help in better remembering them. One must also practice previous years’ JKBOSE 12th question papers.

  • For Mathematics

Understanding the steps while solving a problem rather than simply memorising them will prevent the candidates from forgetting them, which is one of the places where students tend to lose marks. The rules that need to be followed while solving the problems are important to remember as well.

  • For Biology

This subject is predominantly diagram-based. Providing a diagram along with the answers, wherever applicable, results in better marks. Hence, it is important to practice the diagrams and label them correctly. Also, understanding the concepts and reproducing them in one’s own words rather than just mugging up the answers would decrease the chances of forgetting the answers, manifold. Having said that, it is also important to remember the exact wording of laws and theorems.

  • For languages

For languages, maintaining the grammar is of utmost importance. Correct punctuation is necessary. Using simple yet impactful sentences increases the credibility of the answers.
