Preparing for Class 12 board exams is already is stressful for students, but in today’s competitive environment, most of the candidates are also focusing on national-level entrance exams. A recent poll conducted by Shiksha.com shows how students are opting for their career goals. The poll shares that most Class 12 students in India are not limiting their focus to board exams only, wa large number of candidates are also preparing for competitive entrance tests, such as JEE, NEET, and CUET.

Key Findings of the Shiksha.com Poll

  • 33 percent of students are preparing for engineering entrance exams such as JEE Main and JEE Advanced which makes these two field the most popular program among the students.
  • 26 percent students are targeting NEET, which highlights the popularity of careers in medicine and healthcare.
  • 21 percent candidates are preparing for CUET (Common University Entrance Test), which is quickly becoming popular among the students.
  • 11 percent of respondent are not preparing for any entrance exam.

Q:   How much time is required to cover the MPBSE 12th syllabus?

Usually, MP Board give students a whole year to cover the MPBSE class 12 syllabus. However, ideally, all the students must be done with the preparation of MPBSE class 12 syllabus at least a month before the exam. If they do that, they will have plenty of time to revise the syllabus and practice the sample papers. If a students prepare the study plan including daily study time of at least 4 to 6 hours, they can complete the syllabus on time. At the same time, 10% of students are still not sure about their career choices and need for better career guidance and counselling at the school level.
In a nutshell, the Shiksha.com poll shows that students are increasingly multitasking, managing board studies along with preparing for competitive exams. With nearly 80 percent of students preparing for one or more entrance tests, it is clear that today’s Class 12 students want wider opportunities and multiple career doors open for them.
