No extracurricular activities, no fests, and no events. There was a good mess, hostel can be improve
Placements: The course was offered by Al Kabir Polytechnic College, and it was the top course. I was in the CSE batch of 2021-2024. The college provided a few placements for other branches like Electrical and Mechanical, but there were no placements for the CSE branch. It provided placement under the contractor of any specific company.
Infrastructure: It had 2 hostels, one with 4 beds and one with 2 beds in a room. Both are below-average hostels. No library was provided during non-college hours. I don't know about the cleanliness of the mess food, but they provided decent food. There was a decent-sized playground.
Faculty: Teachers were not that helpful, but we can't say this for all teachers. A few teachers were very nice and polite, and some of them were super rude. There was a fine for low attendance varying from Rs. 200 to Rs. 6000, according to attendance.
Other: Campus life is average, and there were no events or fests. The college organizes sports activities every year, such as cricket, football, and a 200 meter race, that's all. But college is in the main city, so everything is accessible. The college principal is not cooperative, he is rude, and he doesn't want to meet the parents of students. There is a fine, which is the worst. Literally, they can charge up to Rs. 6000 for low attendance. According to me, colleges should improve their fests and events. There was no source of enjoyment.

Real-world knowledge and better future vision.
Placements: Basically, for the Computer Science branch, Al-Kabir Polytechnic does not have so many campus placements. Only a student with a very good percentage/SGPA could get the chance for placements, but for branches like Mechanical and Civil, they have higher chances for placements. In upcoming future years, I think there will be more placements for Computer and Electrical students too as it is developing recently. I think for my batch, we will also be getting good placement rates by looking at the development of the college.
Infrastructure: We have labs according to the branches. As for me (Computer Science), we have 3 big labs for regular use with cameras, AC, and Wi-Fi. Classrooms for theory are different, and every classroom gets painted from time to time. Cleanliness is what you'll see every day by the workers. We have an annual sports meet, with a well-maintained ground for cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton too. The hostel is quite average, nothing special.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Every faculty from whom I studied is really educated, well-mannered, and maintains professionalism, giving us real-world knowledge for future betterment. The course we have had till now is absolutely relevant and makes us industry-ready by the 3rd year. For me (a 2nd-year student), semester exams are quite okay. If you study well, you can definitely pass the exams, score good marks, but you can’t just sit and rely on your material.
Other: Choosing this branch is what I liked to do since I was in 8th class. The course relevancy is what I like about it most. As for Computer Science, you could never achieve 100%; there will always be something extra which is needed. Computer Science gets updated year by year, and my course is catching up with it. That’s what I like about it, it means I don’t really have to look for any side course. The college surroundings are good and quite peaceful. The college organizes blood donation camps annually, and some national events too. It also engages in inter-college competitions.

Al Kabir Polytechnic Honest Review.
Placements: Nearly sixty to seventy percent of students get placement during campus or job fairs. Remember one thing: core branches are better for diploma courses like mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering. The highest package is 7.2 LPA, the lowest package is 1.8 LPA, and the average package is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiters are Jindal Steel, Tata Steel, L&T, Voltas, and many more. Roles offered are Junior Engineer, Trainee.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are very big. Library facilities are available in the college, named Sir Syed Library. Hostel facilities are available for boys only, but the girls' hostel is available near the college. Mess food is good and hygienic. Sports events are organized by the college annually. A big playground is present on the campus.
Faculty: Like all colleges, some teachers are very helpful and friendly to students, but some are very arrogant. All teachers are knowledgeable alumni of the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, Aligarh Muslim University, etc. The curriculum is relevant to the industry, and yes, students get ready for the industry. Semester examinations are moderate and conducted by JUT.

Overall, the college is good, but faculty members are not.
Placements: Placements are not offered at all branches. About 20% of students get placements yearly. There are very big companies like Tata, Indian Railways, Tech Mahindra, etc. Placements are rich in automobile engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering. Computer science and engineering lag behind in placements.
Infrastructure: The labs are very good, especially for computer science. Other branches lag behind. Branches like mechanical, electrical, and automobile have very low and old resources. The infrastructure of the hostel is not good. The state government has given them the hostel, and the college is not in a good locality.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They make students industry-ready. Exams are not difficult. Some teachers are rude. They don't even know how to provide quality education. But there are some good teachers who are the best, mainly in the electronic branch.
Other: Campus life is very good. Some improvement is needed in the training methods of some teachers.

Is going to a Diploma school worth it.
Placements: Generally, many companies provide programming related jobs or software testers. If you get good enough grades or know well about the subject, you can even get a junior engineer job. Some companies even provide jobs that are not related to your field if they think you have enough skill.
Infrastructure: They have pretty good systems for learning. The computers are generally updated and they teach you software which you may use in your professional life as per your needs. The library usually only have course-related books and magazines, they even have some advanced books related to the course if you look for them.
Faculty: The teachers are always there to help you give you ask them for help. A small tip, don't ask for doubts during classes. It will be better to go to them after college hours at that time they will solve your doubts. The courses are industry-relevant but you will only see the relevant studies starting 2nd year. The passing percentage is 40%.

I am dissatisfied with the crowd and campus life.
Placements: Very few students got placed in this college, which I think is not good. There are no placements for some branches. I am a CS student, and I have not heard and seen that this college provides placements for the computer science branch students.
Infrastructure: Labs are good and well-maintained. The learning experience in the labs is good. The library is also good. Classrooms need to be maintained and renovated. The canteen is average. Wi-Fi facility is available in the college, but the students cannot access the Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and knowledgeable. Some teachers are good, and some are average. Not every student actually attended their classes and got bored in their lectures. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.

Review of Al Kabir Polytechnic College.
Placements: The placement record is not much great in our college. Companies don't even bother to select students from non-core branches like CS or AM. Some of the good companies like Tata Steel, L&T, ACC, etc., had conducted recruitment in the past, but I rarely hear anything about the recruitment in them, especially for our branch, i.e., CS.
Infrastructure: Our campus is well-equipped with practical labs and equipment. The library is top-notch, and I found it very helpful as I mostly spend my free periods there. You can find plenty of good books, magazines, newspapers, etc., to read. The sitting arrangement is good as well.
Faculty: I don't find our teachers are good. They hardly know anything about the latest technology. We are taught the same things that our seniors were taught 10 years ago. Exams are held mostly twice or thrice during every semester, and they're decent.
Other: I really wish that the curriculum gets updated, and teachers should be well-known about the latest technologies. I feel like I am being judged every time while I am in the classroom and being shouted at by the teachers for not being well-dressed or for having long hair.

It has good infrastructure and offers real-time experience by taking us on industry visits.
Placements: Around 100 students are placed in my course. I am currently in the 2nd semester, so I don't know much about placements yet. But, from what I have heard from my seniors, the college offers good placements and internships, which depend on individual effort. The top recruiting companies include some local firms as well as bigger names like Infosys.
Infrastructure: It has very good facilities, with Wi-Fi facility in every lab. One lab is air-conditioned, but the other two computer labs are not. There is a big library for studies, and classrooms are average. The quality of the food is worth the money we are paying. There is also a huge ground for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and helpful, though their teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant and definitely makes us industry-ready. It offers internships in various local companies, helping us gain real-time experience. Exams are of average difficulty, and the pass mark is 33.
Other: I want to become a software developer, which is why I chose this course. It offers us real-time experience by taking us to local companies for practical exposure.
