February 14, 2025: The 15th edition of Atithya 2025, hosted by AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune, was a grand celebration of hospitality, culture, and talent. With Reggae Night as its theme, it was dedicated to the memory of the legendary Bob Marley and his music. The event was a glamorous affair that brought together students, industry professionals, and distinguished guests. The gala dinner, a hallmark of this national-level intercollegiate competition, offered an unparalleled experience with stunning décor complemented by an exquisite culinary showcase. The event was graced by the Honorary Secretary of AISSMS Society, Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, accompanied by Yashraj Raje and Yashaswini Raje, while His Excellency Mr. Jason Keats Hall served as the Chief Guest, elevating the atmosphere with his warm and humble presence. The Celebrity Guest of Honour, Mr. Alexander Shtifanov, captivated the audience with a breathtaking flair bartending performance, enhancing the overall grandeur of the event.
With colleges from across India competing in various hospitality-related challenges, the competition was fierce and inspiring. Ultimately, WGSHA (Welcome Group School of Hotel Administration), Manipal, emerged as the champion, securing the coveted Atithya 2025 trophy. AISSMS CHMCT Hosts National Level Intercollegiate Competition Atithya 2024
February 7, 2024: In a few days, Atithya 2024 will unite academic institutions, students, and instructors from all over the country on one stage for exciting competitions, accompanied by prominent figures from the business world who will evaluate and offer insightful commentary. This National Level Intercollegiate Competition, which is being hosted by AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, was designed to give young people a stage to demonstrate their abilities and foster creativity. This year, the event is set for February 7–9, 2024. Suhana is the title sponsor, Venkys and PHA are associate sponsors, and numerous other esteemed businesses are involved.
The 14th edition of Atithya will take place in 2024, and we have received an incredible response from 35 teams that are coming from all over the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gandhinagar, Anand, Palai in Kerala, Manipal, Kolkata, and many more. Ten competitions involving food production, lodging, bartending, general knowledge, entrepreneurship, and food and beverage services will be contested by each team of six students.
AISSMS CHMCT Sets New World Record with 100 Curries in 250 Minutes

May 10, 2023: According to the World Book of Records London and Iudex, the staff and students at the AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (CHMCT) have set a new record for making 100 curries in just 250 minutes. This amazing achievement is a tribute to the rich and varied Indian cuisine as well as to the team's extraordinary talent and commitment. The attempt coincided with the AISSM Society's centenary celebration from the previous year as well as the laudable achievement of AISSMS CHMCT's 25-year anniversary.
A total of 250 students and faculty members gathered together for the record-breaking effort on May 5, 2023, at the CHMCT campus. They wanted to show off their culinary skills on a big stage around the world. The students prepared a range of curries that impressed the judges and established a new standard for culinary excellence by working relentlessly and working together as a team. In the presence of the guest of honour, celebrity chef and restaurateur Chef Shailendra Kekade, Dr Sonali Jadhav, Principal AISSMS CHMCT, and office bearers of the AISMM Society, the event was opened by Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Hon. Secretary, AISSM Society.
A Panel Jury composed of Rajeev Srivastava, Vice President, World Book of Records - India, representing World Book of Records, London, Dr Aparna Deshpande as subject experts, and Dr Archana Biwal as gazetted officers monitored and evaluated the entire process of trying to break this world record. They concluded that the team had successfully set a new record. Principal Dr Sonali Jadhav and Head of the Culinary Department Dr Gauri Shah are in charge of the team, which consists of faculty, staff, and students, that will aim to break this world record.
