I am completely dissatisfied with management. They make promises that they can't keep.
Placements: Placements are very good. They offer average salary packages but are good compared to nearby colleges. They provide placement training from the beginning, such as full-stack development from Q-Spiders, J-Spiders, or TestYantra in Bangalore. Nearly 30 companies visit here every year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not up to the mark, but it is fine. Labs don't have the latest version of PCs. The library has some rules, like schools. Classrooms are also not that good. The rules in the hostel are like the rules in a primary school. The mess food is not good, but they charge more money for food. They don't support sports and games.
Faculty: Most HODs are self-centered people, especially in the ECE branch. The allocation of faculty members is also not good. A professor who has never been exposed to a field will come to teach you because the HOD asks him or her to do so.

Alvas engineering college review.
Placements: 20% students were placed with the highest package of 5.5 LPA, the lowest of 1.8 LPA and an average of 2 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, oracle and IBM hired candidates. Nearly 40% of students got internship opportunities during the course which was paid. Associate level roles were offered for the course.
Infrastructure: A large library with different sections and room type for individual and group studies. High quality sports training was provided as it was one of the elite sports campus known in the state. Infrastructure is average and it has developed with time. Newly built.
Faculty: Teachers were quite qualified and helpful. The only drawback is the course which does not live upto the date. The outdated course could not help us bag better opportunities and most of the placed candidates only got into non technical roles after passing out from the college.
Other: Alvas college is known to host a wide range of events almost unlike any other campus. It also involves itself in a loy of extracurricular activities like swachh bharat abhiyan, photography clubs etc. It is truly an experience living under such a campus.

Absolutely satisfied with the college but dissatisfied by the department.
Placements: I passed out in the year 2018, and I have done my Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 1)80% of the students were placed who were eligible for placements. 2)12 Lacs per annum was the highest,1 Lacs per annum being the lowest and around 3lakhs being the average package. 3)IBM, EY are the top recruiting companies. 4)Associate Software the common role offered. 5)3.5 Lacs per annum was the highest and 1 Lacs was the lower star and around 2 Lacs was the average package. 6)15% of the students got internships from the course in companies like ISRO, DRDO, MRPL, All India Radio, KIOCL, HAL etc.?
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available for the course/department were excellent, except for the Wi-Fi, no Wi-Fi is given until you are a final year student during college hours and laptops were not allowed until first year of the course. 2. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is bad, have to be inside the hostel within 7PM for boys and 5:30PM for girls, what do you expect from professional degree students? !, food was okay sometimes, depends totally on what type of food you prefer or eat, canteen was initially good later onwards the taste and the quality of the food went bad, we have our own hospital and it's good but doctors tend to give you injections no matter what, sports and games being in engineering forget it man that's what the Hods tell, but the management supports sports.
Faculty: 1. teachers were excellent, helpful qualified and knowledgeable, teaching quality was also good but few ups and downs were there as usual everywhere. But the department was very bad. 2. Yes definitely it's curriculum relevant. No it doesn't make us industry ready all our college wants is getting students placed, not in the field of interest. And also very strict rules, and timings like schools.
Other: 1. I always wanted to pursue ECE so opted this course, good knowledge about circuits etc. 2. Please give freedom to students and some time to ask doubts with faculty members, there is literally no time to clear some topics if you lag in the subjects and they expect us to score. 3. Good events are conducted like technical stuff. Don't expect fests, not a good crowd, very less, campus surroundings is good but limited, lots of extracurricular activities.

Alvas Engineering college.
Placements: They bring lot of placement companies including core electronics company. We also get good training for aptitude and english speaking from our 3rd sem itself. So that we will be ready for the campus interview from our 2 year itself they also make placements out of our college too.
Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi all over the campus, Labs are well maintained, library is from 9am to 11pm and we have good facilities for games and sports in our campus. We have extreme support for cultural and sports. Students here have won prizes across the state.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly helpful and well qualified and knowledgeable. And the teaching quality is very good they use labs and projectors to make us understand the ratio between student to teacher would be 1.9 : 2 they also take us to Industrial visit.
Other: In alvas they concentrate more on Cultural sports and other activities.

A very good college for engineering and to learn to lead a life.
Placements: There were few companies coming to our campus, but we used to attend more off-campus drives in other colleges. The companies that visit are EY, HP, Amazon, Emphasis, Kirloskar. Atleast 50% of the students got placed. The minimum salary started from 2 LPA to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Alva's has a very good infrastructure inside the college. The hostel conditions and maintenance are also very good. The hostel mess is very much hygienic. They need to improve their idea of infrastructure when they are planning because the students don't have any field to play in the evening in Mijar campus.
Faculty: Alva's has a very good faculty with good experience, but they need to focus more on improving the method of providing the education for BE students instead of imposing the same pressure as in for PU students. I personally feel PU and BE are very much different, and management needs to understand and improve the approach to teaching.
Other: Alva's will have a variety of functions like Virasat, Nudisiri, Chakravyuha and ethnic days, and branch wise initiative functions like blood donation camp.
