Candidates must have passed two years of pre-university examination conducted by pre-university education board in the state of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto. Generally a candidate to opt for a subject should have studied that subject at the qualifying examination. Candidates opting for physics should have studied mathematics along with physics or Candidates option for statistics should have studies that subject or mathematics.
